Yay, the forums are back....
I posted this a while back in the work in progress forums if anybody remembers... Ive worked on some of the problems people noticed and i think i fixed most of them. He balances better now. Its still not perfect but ive decided to go on to something else.
Oh and I totally redid the sound and it actually sounds ok...

Good lord !!! It's the fastest dnload I've *ever* had ! Cruising at 17k/s on a 56k modem !!! What are you talking about Awetopsy ?
What a nice love story lol.
The character moves realistically but the ball is animated in a cartoony way. When the ball squashes, it seems to have a more important volume than when idle. Hmmm on purpose ?
One sweet thing is the whole caracter reaction to the ball rocketing upward from it's hand. yumyum !
I know it's a finished work (and it should be in a reel !!!) but the only thing I could comment on is the balance of the character when he's on one leg. Remember the weight has to be compensated by the other leg.
Oh and make the sound louder !
-ege really sorry she missed this in work in progress |

Damn the forums are moving fast...
Thanx for your c&c guys.
egerie: I think i get what your saying, the ball squishes a lot... hehe, naa i didnt do that on porpose, thats just the way it turned out
Yeh I couldnt quite get the balance right, I was told about those problems when I posted it in work in progress... I think its better now. Ill try and avoid these sort of things in my next animation...
Egarie & halogenic: K, I think I will make the sounds louder...
Awetopsy & steone: Thanx! |

sweet tendril.

I am curious though to what programs you use to render with, especially some of your highpoly work on your web page... anything special?
keep it up! |

Still goodly dude. I like the end final blow better. I have to admit with the balance still. I'll have to research into it myself, try and get a simple biped going.
Look forward to more anims, and keep it up! |

Firewalker: I use 3dstudio max R3 for most of my stuff. Some of those charcters on my webpage were rendered with Brazil - www.splutterfish.com
Zozo: thanx!
Brain: Thanx, and yeh, still not perfect, but im so sick of it now...
Scribbler: I used 3dstudio with character studio. But yeh its totally hand keyed... I didnt use footsteps or anything... |
