Here's a vampire I did while Sijun was down. It was inspired by an old D&D game I played a few years back.
The Real JOHN WU |

I'm SOOO happy that Sijun is back. I was checking it everyday to see if it was up or not. There's really not much to do when Sijun isn't around. |

Awsome piece!! I saw your sight too by the way and I must say, FREAKIN IMPRESSIVE!
This image in particlular is great. The skin texture, tone and those spider viens make for a very realistic image. There's a lot of expression in those eyes. The teeth look great too. AMAZING detail and realism!
The only thing I'd do, (prepare yourself, your about to here advice from the least qualified person here) is work on the lips, gums and the inside of the mouth. It's too dark in coloration and it just seems odd. The teeth on the opposite side of the bottom jaw seem a little lumpy too. I may (probably) be wrong. |

Exo: You're absolutely right. I was rushing the inside of the Vampire's mouth.
I'm glad you like my site BTW. I'm still trying to add more stuff to it. |

First of all, this is a really good piece. It is very well rendered. I love his skin.
Now, I might be wrong here, but it seems to me like his mouth is at a more 3/4 angle while the rest of his head is closer to a profile view. Once again, this is just how it seems to me. |

Bishop_Six: You could be right. I didn't really pay attention to perspective and such. Good observation |

Ah, this is a most excellent piece! As have already been said, naturally...
Anyway, here's my personal nitpick: I think that the eye looks kind of tired and irritated, the angry expression comes primarily from the mouth... it would be interesting to see how his expression changed if you lifted the upper eyelid a bit, creating a more staring look... But what do I know, maybe it'll just make him look startled and scared.. and that would just be plain wrong.
Ah well. Great work!

Very cool looking, the teeth look awesome, that's the first thing that came out at me.
I agree with Gaxar though, maybe bring the eye brows a little higher. Right now it looks as if he were going to bite someone, then somebody walked in and he is staring at them.
Great work, oh and Yeah the Real John Woo is looking very cool. Was at Yaz's site and followed the link

Vgta: It's Wu, not Woo Don't worry...everyone thinks it's Woo because it's more popular. I think I'll go change my name. ^_^
