I like!

kinda reminds me of Shinji from Evangelion. ;p

Nice vector work.

I don't think the head is too small though.

oh ya... critique...

Vgta was saying to put him in a more dynamic pose. I agree with that, but with this maybe show him doing something he likes to do... or have a few different poses doing different stuff. This could help define his character and show some of his traits, etc. Also show him in different outfits too maybe...

good luck. I hope to see more.

yeah.. i have a problem with showing the real attitude of a character that i draw and its the same with the "dramatic posing" thing.

The idea of different clothing is really great, im gonna try it soon...

Thx for crit.

I like the colours a lot! The anatomy is kinda funky- for example the front looks like his back because the curve has the appearence of the spine. But that could be seen as a style choice. All in all it is quite nice!- keep up the good work.

well...for all of u taking about the anatomy issues, i did it a little on purpose. Thats the hole idea of an anime style character. Anyway maybe next time ill try to not exagerate too much things.

Well done. But I think Vgta is right. The head seems a little bit small.
I would like to see more

I don't think Anime style neccessarly means over extended anatomy.(look at Evangelion) I mean sure that's the case for sailor moon but let's ignore that since it's crap.
The shoes seems somewhat weird. I think you should have more rounded shape shoes instead of a cone shaped shoes to stylize the whole thing.
That's about it I think. Just remember to make your character unique and interesting the outfit actually plays more role since anime gives limited amount of variation in facial tones. So just be creative and do lot of thinking for the outfit

Hope that was helpful. Bye bye

Pretty cool looking, but the head seems to small for the rest of his body.
Also maybe a more dynamic pose could help too.

the head looks like it is placed on the shoulders wrong.

this goes along with the comment about the head being to small. i don't think it's to small
it just looks like it should be to the left sholder(which would be the one to the right of the screen) of the character alittle more.

Loxis, first of all, i don't any of the replies u got were THAT cruel, if anything they were more like the honest opinions of different inidividuals that may(/may not) have a strong background in the arts. And thats what everyone here is seeking isnt it? the opinions of others? why else would one join a forum like this? Just take the crits in a good light. Have u even been to an art school even? Hoo boy.. if u wanna talk about cruel hehe. I remembered some of my art class critique sessions... the heckling we get..
But anyways... getting back on topic, i think u did a pretty decent job with illustrator considering its a vector program, hehe i shy away from doing chars with illustrator... hmm mebbe i should try.
On a final note.. i think there's a slight skew on the perspective when u did the guy. either that i think hes stance is unbalanced. seems like he would easily fall backwards if he was nudged.. just my $RM0.02

About what u sayed Laemtao, yes, i AM in college in graphic art design. Thats why i did not just do an illustration without a composition. ( anyone noticed the cool typo art and the simplicity of the page??)

I dont mind the crit, dont get me wrong here, like u sayed thats the main reason i post my stuff here... its just that its.......sniff..sniff.... pretty hard to take.... sniff..

P.S by the way im just 18 yrs old so my art style is pretty good for my age isnt it??
