Here's something I did over the weekend. It's more of a concept than a finished piece. Marker job colored in ps.

very cool. I was looking at this thinking how tight it is, but still missing something. I think a version with a little dirt and weathering would be cool. Really like the wheels.

hmm yeha, it is a bit too clean... also add a more defined light source.. right now it kinda looks like its not uh hmm doesn't have any weight

some tips for you. =)
i just hand them out like candy don't I?

1. The steering on the bike. there is no room for the steering too turn.

2. Try too bring the mirror up a little cause the airflow would go in the person's face if he had too sit on the bike. =)

3. Put some treads on the bike wheels. too get grip or are those slicks?

Very nice drawing and well rendered. i hope i didn't rip it apart too much. =)

I guess I need to say a couple more things about this drawing. This is pretty much a rendering I ended up liking enough to tighten up and color. It wasn't really meant to be a standalone piece. .It's a design of this bike which will be used in some of my future work. I agree with the clean look comments, I chose to leave it this way, in the illustration (that I am working on next) it will be scraped up and dirty.

The tires are slick because, right now, it's meant to be a race bike, but that might change in the future.

Um, the steering... It's electronic steering, hence no straight fork. I know it doesn't show too well in this perspective, but the handles are supposed to stick out far enough to allow enough of a turning radius for this to work. (I hope)

Adigra, I really like your motorcycle designs, especially the three-wheelers on your site. My favorite is the b/w marker three-wheeler, mostly because it reminds me of my Dads.. only a bit more futuristic, heh. I like this bike though. As the others said tho, it does seem like it needs some weight to it. Nice job tho!

If you wanna see the similarity between that three-wheeler and my dads, here's a few photos.. maybe they'll inspire you some?

This thing is 100% homemade. Originally made in the late 70's.. then spent 15 years rusting. We rebuilt it a couple years ago.

The polished version which won first place in the three-wheeler category at a car show.. of course, it was the only threewheeler there, but hey, its something. I did the detailing of the chains.

The hand was done by me.. although poorly done (I was pretty inexperienced at the time) I like it. The ducktape has been removed. The seat's all leather now.

That trike thing is awesome. I like the duck tape. I bet you turn heads cruisin the strip. That thing was in production once?

Schwinn, I dont believe anything that looks even remotely similar to my dads trike has ever been in production, hehe. He built it from scratch himself. The engine is a VW engine, so.. its noisy, but on an 800lb body, it can really tear up the road, and easily smoke a corvette. It's really fun to ride on.. you get the strangest looks from people.. either awe or terror. Especially on the highway, doing 85mph.

Back to Adi,

I like the suspension system on the bike and the look, I do agree about the windshield having to be a tad higher, also the bike does look a little bit uncomfortable to ride. The seat is narrow, ones chest would be hitting the main panel, you are would tire out seeing how the handle bars are all the way up front (you couldn't ride it without being slanted forward) and there are no foot rests that I can see. Now I know this was a quick sketch, so I am big picky here.
Still like the bike tons.
