Hey Hey! As far as light goes it seems pretty nice on my monitor settings. Seems like there are some perspective problems with the last few windows, the stairs and doors. Otherwise it looks good, except I'd like to know what is going on (what the people are doing). |

I will have to figure the perspective problems somehow. The thing is when I'm drawing a picture, after a while I go "blind"
if you know what I'm saying
Do you mean the windows on the left? and is it the doorframe or the woddendoor-or both?
I tried to bear some of the comments from the dragonfly thread in mind regarding the composition. Don't know if it worked out.
It seems like the persons are diggin. Maybe treasure hunting, finding the portal to the underworld or they are the last remainers from the great black death burying the last of the villagers. Who knows...

Assuming that the stairs from the door should be perpendicular to the wall, I think that is where the perspective is off. If you make a line, lining up the windows on that wall, you will notice the line isn't parrallel with the lines of the stairs.
The other thing i noticed is the light direction. The way the inside portions of the windows are lit up with equal intensity i think should be changed.
Barring those minor things it looks really cool. Its spooky in there. i want to run for that door. |

Just looked up perpendicular I see what you mean, looking forward to fixing the problems. Thanks for the remarks on the windows. I know it will look alot better with your suggestion.

nice idea. How about removing the staircase? Would be kinda interesting in an arty-fartsy way, wouldn't it?

Some things I noticed:
The stairs should be a little bigger toward the bottom, because it is coming toward you, I think the stair's direction is slightly off too.
If someone where to open that door from the inside , they'd swing off the stairs.
The light through the windows, is coming from the frame aswell instead of just through the hole. |
