I know what is going through your head! This is a gift to your dad for Fathers day? It looks...well kinda dark. Well it is supposed to.

I have hostility towards my father But what the hell he still gets a gift on fathers day. I gotta be me though and give it my own personal twist.

I really tried to give the piece a painterly feel unlike my other work. It is hard to see in the full version but I included a closeup of the pic for you to see detail. When I print this out...hopefully at the bottom size resolution it should look like a photo of a painting. I hope

Does it look like a photomanip? Hehehe. I really tweaked it and learned some new techniques in the process. I might post them if you guys want

Let me know what you guys think.

Here is the photo I worked from. Yes he looks scary in the picture. He was supposed to. I took it for my comicbook and he was playing the bad guys in the page I was doing. When he smiles he does look some what more normal

bump

I posted this last night pretty late so I guess it got lost in the shuffel. No one has any comments on it?

I just got it pretted out 14 by 24 on glossy paper. It looks amazing. Just like a photo of a painting. I think my dad will like it.

Looks scary, but it's a nice memento. And a proessional looking image.

My father would hate it and think me insane if I tried that.

You've accomplished what your aim was!
Only thing I can think of is some shadow from brush marks- if you're going for the painted look.
Nice work!
