Well it's been a while since I last posted something here. This one is quite a bit different for me. No swords, blood, or 4 million pound guns (which is probably why it won't be too popular but I had to try anyway.)
It's a portrait-ish painting I did for a very lovely and special lady.
It was done 60% in Painter Classic and 40% PS 4.0. Ref used for some of the pond and the horse.
Hope ya like!

Very nice Elf man! Long time no see! (I'm usually Pinkush in paintchat). I really like the colors in this one. The little butterfly's really add a lot of life to the scene.
My only main concern are the girls hands. They seem a bit stubby to me and the length of the backside of the hands seems quite short.
Aside from that, very glad to see you post this one! |

JasonN> Thank ya much. She did like it
Icannon> Thanks! A little something different.

Flex?.. I seem to remember someone named flex who used to come here.. *leans on cane, and strokes long, white beard*.. but it's been so long.
I like this a lot, flex. No guns, blood, or swords. I think it's good to get away from the usual once in a while.. however, I think it would really improve the piece if you gave her a massive sword strapped on her back, and if instead of looking at the horse, she could be placing its head in the bed of one of her enemies |

That rules. Post more often, damnit.
Her Barrett M82A1 .60 BMG sniper rifle is strapped to the horse isn't it? |

Good to see you posting again Flexible Elf!
I like it a lot, imo pretty girls are better than blood, guns and swords. I guess I'm just a weird guy. |

*gasp!* no guns, no orcs, no leather-clad boobies? Flex! You are adaptive! I like the water area a lot, it's cool to see you do something like this. |

Joachim- Thank you much! I'm hoping to get a lot more paintings done and start posting again. Though that drawing board is too fun to pass up.
DiXter- That makes me real happy to hear you say that because that's the whole thing I'm going for is feeling on this one.
Cos- Yeah you're right about the shadows.. they should be a bit stronger in areas because of the starkness of the light. I'm gonna touch this one up I think.
Jez- Here and there. The PaintChat is up again if you wanna swing by. And yes, she is very pretty and her hair is wildly curly I'll be around, and I missed y'all too.
Bish- Haha! I was working on adding an M1 Abrams tank to 'Starry Night' because there just isn't a work that wouldn't benefit from some heavy artillery
Gimbal8- Hehe thanks. Yeah, the sniper rifle is right next to her Diary with Kittens on the cover
knocturnal- I definitely will go back again and fix some anatomy along with some other stuff.. I see it all now. Thank ya much!
Grendel Khan- hehe, I couldn't agree with you more.... well about the girls being better than blood, guns, etc... and that you're a wierd guy
Joe Kool- I'll try and fix that a bit.. I might have to move her hair a bit to the side.. I think it's because you can't clearly see how her neck lies. I'll fix it.
Thanks again peoples! I appreciate all the feedback immensely.

Her right arm is very stiff looking. The way the horses head is protuding into the picture is too flat. It looks like a cut out from a different pic and just pasted on. Needs to be acclimated more, this might be a perspective proplem. Grass is a bit patternish.
Nice flowers, pretty face, nice premise.
