Did I really just see two fairies float by in a conch shell? Surely not.... The soft colours and low contrast of this image are supposed to give the impression of a hallucination, or of something barely glimpsed. Did it work? (Note the unicorn in the sky.)
Yeah, anyway....

geez, I love your plants.. the shell looks too blurry though? It needs more highlights, especially when considering that it is in the water and the sun would be um.. well *glistening* and stuff.. hehe

I love your new fantasy pics and I love this one : great plants, good unicorn idea, underwater view, nice shell.
A few details though : I think the contrast you put between underwater and over worked better in your Dance of the Evening pic. In the same way, I'd like to see more of the faeries faces, perhaps with a bit more contrast ?
But let's put apart my not-so-interesting pointers and say what is the greatest in this great pic : the subject. Just love it. |

I wonder what your dreams are like.
I wish I had more time to comment on this one but all I can say is that I like it. As far as looking like a hallucination, yes. |

Really awesome piece. I like the composition a lot.
My only comment is to maybe render the faces on the faeries a bit more.
oh and yeah the unicorn is nicely done. |

hey, great picture! my only crit is that I think the right edge might be so soft, it's forcing me to look at it because of the lack of detail. you have the plants and shell and faries to ground you on the left, but the right kinda goes off into a void. perhaps a greater definition between the sky and the water's edge at horizon? maybe some rogue water plants poking out from the surface on the right?
anyway, great piece! love the mood. ;} |
