Here's one I just cranked out way too fast. It's an illustration for a d20 creature for a startup company in Texas. As always crits are welcome.

Weird but I like it, looks like a blend of Praying Mantis and Spider.
The detailing on the sphere is good but I think that the legs especially the fore legs could do with some sharpening to bring out more detail.

Axl: Thanks. Yeah like I said I did it way too fast. I think I may revisit this one perhaps from scratch. If I go real tight on the detail I think it may have a Wayne Barlowe feel to it.

Awetopsy: Funny you should say that. It is a nightmare creature that basically stuns it's prey and replaces one of their eyes with it's own self taking over cerebral function once implanted. Kind-a icky.
