It's as done as it's gonna get, so here 'tis. I'm sick of it. C & C are welcome.

Oh the pain of a Jurassic Park inspired pic. And the pain of a stir-crazy fool without a server that allows hotlinking! AAAH!
Well, I'm going to try it anyways.

OOh! You mean, like painting white higlights over the top of it? Didn't think of that. I might try it. Thanks Dr ZULU

I'd like to see you bring out the stringy developed muscles of the t-rex's face with highlights. Also his snout looks short.

cool piece. Did you use a photograph from the movie? I like the shading of the nostrils and teeth. It must have taken you forever! It's too bad you didn't scan in the gradual steps you took in making it, that would have been interesting. Despite being traditional "comic styled" lineart that most of us seem to do, you really define shading and detail well.

The only thing I'd work on is anatomy. Most therepods like the t-rex have a visable socket for jaw muscle to connect with the back of the head called the antorbital-finestra. It's right in front of the ear and behind the eye socket. (If I was saying this infront of a room full of people everyone would be asleep by now)

... Oh yeah, you should make that bald guy hanging from his mouth!!

Jucas--By gum, you're right. I never noticed it until now, but his snout DOES look short. Though, I always thought the snouts of T-Rex in Jurassic Park looked too long and skinny, and not nearly powerful enough. Maybe I subconsciously changed it..
Maybe it's skewed because of the wierd perspective I was trying to force, and failed. hmm.

exo13--thanks. I used a bubble gum card for reference. It took a half hour, which is why I'm so pleased with it. For a half-hour, it ain't bad!

There isn't much to the gradual steps. 1. Sketch in major lines/areas of shade. 2. Scribble loosley until ripe.

Again, thanks for the compliments. I do try to define a lot of detail in my work. My goal is currently improving my technical ability.

Despite your detailed explanation, I can't seem to visualize where the antorbital-finestra is or what it looks like.

And no bald guy! NO NO! Bad bald guy! You get no T-Rex teeth today! Shoo!

i also feel that cleaner and stronger highlights would make it more 3 dimensional. but still nice.
