Its time to post something! I haven't for awhile and I thought: What the hell.

Well I'd hafta say hands are hard. Really hard, but I am working on them. Here are some sketches I did of my hand, the last one I didn't really like so I didn't finish it. I originally had five but gave one away. Anyhoo, comments and crits are welcome.

Try doing contour line drawings of your hand. Do it with as little looking at your drawing as possible, keep your eye on your hand as much as possible. After a few dozen of these, try some blind contours(dont look at your drawing at all). I found these excercises to help me.

Okay, I did this w/o eraser, so bear with me. The way I am currently learning to do hands is by figuring out what makes them work in the most base of forms, and then trying to simplisticly represent them. Try constructing a hand out of boxes first, and then try looking at anatomy books. Keep adding to what you know, but work forwards from the most simple level. Just my opinion though, and there are many ways to learn.
