Howdy, nice to know you enjoy the board, hehe so do i :-D Your picture presents a nice mood to it, really cozy and relaxing. I think you might need a clearer focal point... i can't tell if your main subject is the girl or the castle, add some more detail to one of them and it should look really cool ;-) well thats my opinion |

Wow, very nice. I really like the composition and the style of the castle. The fog takes away some detail, but the effect is rewarding in a way.
I got to say that I got inspired after watching the progress files on your site. Awesome work. |

I'm with everyone else about the work on your website. You have some really gorgeous stuff there, and you draw figures and expressions very well. Your use of color is excellent. I loved the girl with the cigarette as well as the girl with the deer. And it was hard to pick favorites with so many nice images to go through. Great work ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Once again, wonderful website, and I like the way your descrete use of the warm colours in the light, and the cool colours of your ever so tranquil castle. I agree that the bird could do with more definiton, the out of focus my get confused with clumsy, and draws the my eye away from the more important parts of the artwork. Still a beautiful peice of work, I love it |

hey, great atmosphere in the picture.
From the lighting, it looks like the pic was water colored. Or was it digital?
Awsome use of lighting man. rock on

Hi and welcome..
You do indeed have some very nice work at your website.. I liked it!
Wondeful, expressive and playful use of light and colour...
I agree with Dryfire about the picture you have posted here... it needs a focal point... I also found myself wondering 'should I be looking at the girl or castle?' Dryfire's suggestion to add detail to the subject of attention is what I recommend too. Although you would have to be careful not to destroy any aerial perspective, or misty effects you have going. So perhaps another method you could use to develop a focal point would be.. a different composition, direction or movement, or some eye contant with the character.. that is a very powerful way to do it.
I think now, that the focal point was prbably the character.. becuse there seems to be some more detail there on the head, and a good contrast with the sky backgroud to draw attention..
Overall your stuff is really nice.. I hope you have fun here. |

Great pics on your site! Welcome to the Forum=)
I've been having looking at your movies. Interesting to see other's methods.
I was looking at this piece http://www1.linkclub.or.jp/~ooo/0/oc/eloc70.htm
intersting way of gettting the zip-o-tone look. how did you set up the layers to get it like that? |

Beautiful--just gorgeous. I went to your website, too, and I must say I'm impressed by your use of light and colour. All your pictures have an ethereal quality to them.
I think that this one could use a little more definition in the foreground, maybe, to bring it forward from the background. Maybe a few more details in the bird's wings, et cetera.
Nice work, though. I hope you keep on posting here. |

Wow.. such many comments, I'm surprised.
Thank you everyone!
><((-> Dryfire
I like relaxing mood... this pic makes you relaxing? Happy to hear that!
The focal point :
My main subject is the castle and the fogs' lighting.
If they would be standing out strongly, this pic looks more better, I think so too! Thank you for nice opinion, I'll try them.
><((-> N8X
Thank you for looking at my web page!
eco0126.htm << I painted this at last year. I've tried some new things on this one, and that was difficult to me.
You like this? Wow, happy, I would try more.
><((-> Socar
Happy to welcome you in my website!
Light and colour, I love them.. so glad to hear your words. Btw I've looked at your pictures in this site, and I feel that you love the colour, light and shadows too, don't you? I like your colour sense.
A little more definition in the foreground.. that's nice opinion. Aw, the bird's wings.. I tried it and felt difficult, but I'll try again. Thank you!
><((-> Gux
Welcome! and Wow, you saw my progress files?
I love the program, that's fun to see ways of drawings!
Happy to hear you enjoyed the files.
><((-> Jezebel
Welcome for visiting my site.. and thanks a lot for the nice words to my pics!
The girl with the cigarette and the deers, I enjoyed to draw.. glad to hear you loved them.
><((-> Menace
Welcome again! I tried to create the contrast "warm & cool" in this pic.. so your words makes me happy!
Yeah, I agree that too, I'll try them!
><((-> Blitz
Aw, thanks for adding this to your fev-CGs.
Your words gave me powers to paint new ones!
><((-> duhroach
I want to express the good atmosphere. Does it succeed? Thank you!
I painted this on digital from first to the end.
I'm using the paint program "openCanvas", that's very useful to express watercolor.
If you are interested in the program, see the information pages. It's freeware for windowsPC. http://www1.linkclub.or.jp/~ooo/0/htm/eoc01.htm
><((-> Collosimo
Thanks and Welcome too!
I want to paint things expressive, so happy to hear your words!
Yeah, now the focal point may be seem on the character, but I want to make the castle and the fog stand out ..
To add detail to the subject of attention.. that's nice suggestion. I'll try, thank you!
><((-> Rinaldo
Thanks for your warm words. And welcome to my movie corner!
Yeah, that's interesting to see other's methods, I feel so too. Rinaldo, did you try to paint on the program?
If you did and saved it, you can make your own movies of your methods.
[ File(F) > Export event file(E) > name the file > save it ]
Then you can get your own movie! (maybe you noticed?)
If you get some movie files, please show me here!
I'm interested in other's method too.
eloc70.htm << [ 1: make new pic 2x2 pixels > 2: make a little pattern > 3: resize to 4x4 pixels >
4: copy (x4) the layer > 5: move the layers and set > 6: combine the layers >
7: repeate 3 - 6, then you can get the big pattern >
8: click the circled purple"x" to chenge the pattern layer to "Add Mode" >
9: make new layer "Default" > 10: D&D the new layer to under the pattern layer >
11: start to draw on the "Default layer", you can make tone-work ]
hmm... difficult to explain. So I'll inform you my page of tone-patterns. http://www1.linkclub.or.jp/~ooo/0/oc/moch.htm
(not in English.. but I hope you would be able to download the patterns' movie files)
Btw, [ Show(V) > Stop event playing ] or click any windows in the program, then the movie will stop, and you can check condition of the layers. |

noco- I had a play with the program. It ran rather slow on my computer so I didn't get very far with it.
When I upgrade my computer I will have another look at it. hopefully then I can make some movies. the toolset looks limmited but I like the sort of images you can do with it=)
the watercolour brush looks nice
I'll see if I can get a similar technique for the tone pattern to work in Photoshop. looks like fun
I have one movie I made by saving images in Photoshop. http://www.seraphseven.com/rinaldo/tutorials/OrkHeadsteps.mov
you might be interested. it's very large in file size compared to your movies. and has a lot less steps, so it's not as good but anyway=) |

Now I re-painted on the birds and the castle!
I putted a little bit warm colors on the wings, made more details too and made the castle's contrast up. How about that? The wings are very difficult, so I think I would try that at another picture.

I personally think the contrast between characters and background is not strong enough (esp. the bird). when i squint my eyes i can hardly make out anything.
still, nice drawing though. |

Thank you for the movie! I've downloaded that... but, I can't open... double-click, D&D to Photoshop(ver.5.0), aw error! Sorry, I have poor knowledge about the movie files.. Does it need some other programs? Or maybe my PC is not good condition now, so I'll try it tomorrow again!

Thank you for the nice help! Still not strong... yeah, I think so too. The bird's expression.. I have to practice that!

Rinaldo, thank you so much!!! I got and installed QuickTime, then I could look at your process of painting ... that was so fun!!!
First, the line-art was good, and I was impressed that you made up the textures.
Also I like the colors you used on the highlights & shadows.
And now, I hope that someday I can see your movies on OC! Because I'm interested in your brushes' touches... |
