just scanned this charcoal drawing I did recently. this is one of the few cool looking plants around here. no, its not a sunflower... there are some strange weeds that grow around here, and after they die they turn *woody* and lose all color, they basically become grayscale plants, perfect for drawing anyway, here it is.

Click here to see the full size version (much more detail, but at the price of 2.81 mb)
oh.. I'm still uploading the full size version so it may be a bit before the link works

definitely cool, but still looks rather flat... how big is it in real life? (the page, not the actual plant)

Thanks guys.

shardik: rather flat? hmmm.. yeah I guess it is actually, I was kind of rushed to finish it and guess I didn't put enough shadows in to give it more form, not to mention the fact that I totally screwed the top over... oh well. This was basically my second charcoal drawing, so still gettin used to the stuff.

Actual paper size is 7" x 18"

Aaron

[edit] forgot to mention that I haven't been able to successfully upload the large version yet, stupid connection sucks too much, so, if anybody has tried to see it, well it's still not there yet.
