Boring frontal aspect, bad composition, ambiguous forms . . . bleh.
I'll try again tomorrow. |

hey man, thats pretty cool... you should bring down the contrast a bit though or make it clearer where the side of the face ends.... it kinda hurts my eyes since its so bright hehe, but hell its good to be different ;-) |

Thanks for the feedback guys. I meant to mention in my post that this was done with Corel Photo-Paint 8 . . . I tried using my tablet with it a while ago, and the support seemed flaky, but since then I've tweaked some stuff, and have found that its actually a very nice tool . . . its probably as close as you can get to a hybrid of Photoshop and Painter. It'll even read the tilt of my Intuos stylus. |

pritt:
I'm not ashamed to stumble once in a while, because I know its something every artist goes through . . . even Spooge talks about the things he struggles with . . . I suppose maybe its best to let others see your mistakes, because if you just sweep them under the rug, you're more apt to repeat them in the future.
I guess its therapy too . . . if I own up to the bad art I make, there's less stuff for people to blackmail me with in the future
Thanks again for the comments guys, I don't actually think this one is a total loss . . . I'm really happy with the look I was able to develop in Photo-Paint, and I also like some of the colors that I ended up with. |
