Perplexer -- Absolutely fantastic; The only thing I was going to mention is the distance issue w/the ripples in the water vs. the pottery under the lions -- Maybe not enough distance between them? But, damn...The color, the whole composition of this piece, is absoulutely stunning -- Keep up the good work!

thank u very much for the kind replies and crits everyone!
colissimo: i used reference for the ripples around the blood drop, but it could be that they still went a bit too far out.
your right about the knuckle, i dont really know why i did it this way... i guess it wasn't that important to me. or maybe the guy didn't immediatly drop to the floor or something. i dunno.
about the bubbles: i didn't intent they have anything to do with the spout. i noticed in ponds there often are small bubbles just floating around. if u really want me to justify them, i'd say that maybe something on the bottom caused 'em or something small fell into the water. but i actually just put em there to fill the boring corner
i don't really know which ripples u see that the spout caused. it's not a large spout, so i thought the podium/arm covered the spout-ripple area completely... but i could be wrong, maybe spouts like that cause more ripples.
the leaves, yes, maybe they turned out a bit small. as i postet earlier i felt i needed them to explain relations and dimensions in the back part a bit better since the perspective i chose wasn't too helpful on that.
Prolix: yes there is, i just don't have my CD's with me now.
Affected: is it? i've heard of penises severed by evil house wifes and the likes, but thank godness i survived all my embarassing attempts in hitting on girls- so far
Visigoth: yes, either that or it's that kind of effect that u get when u photograph small foreground objects in front of large background objects. a mix of both probably.
topeira: thanks! i'll let ya know, but it'll take some time. |
