I like the second piece alot, especially the amount of detail present. Just noticed that the chain looks slender considering how large the spiked ball is. It would nice to see this in colour.

Do you tend to flesh out the main idea first with a pencil then draw over the guides or do you draw straight on with pen and ink?

Those are fantastic man, I didn't even know you could get that degree of realism with the second and third one! those are so nice manc hmm what size paper did you draw these on?
