Here's something new (pencil and photoshop).
There are two things I haven't drawn in a long long time (about 6 years) Humans and Females, well actually I'd never successfully drawn a female before. But I thought it was time to try a mix of both. I have tonnes of work to finish so this ones finished for the time being.
I would very much appreciate critisism, comments and/or any tips you have for me.

The actual shape of the body is good but there's a few areas which don't look right to me.
The left side of the neck seems to slope too much. Coming up from the shoulder the neck is usually a little flatter at around a 30-35 degree angle. Her shoulder looks to be about 55-60 degree angle, hope that all makes sense.
And her hands look too big most notably the palms. |

Now that you mention the hands thing, yeah, now it's all I can look at. I'll admit hands are definitely not my strong point and I need work. I'm gonna fix that now. The Neck does look a little wierd, but I'll be honest and say that I don't understand the 35 degree thing, I'm not sure where you draw the angle from. But I do get the general idea, it's too triangular so I'll play with that aswell.
Thanks for the advice Axl, glad you pointed that out. |
