Augh. I am now officially tired, zonked, mauled around by HTML, and splattered. Did I mention flattened? I've been staring at Notepad and Photoshop and Microsoft Word alternately for the last five hours, but I've finally updated my @#$*(^ website. Lots of stories, now, and lots of art, and even an ICQ skin or two. Now, THAT's effort.

great Socar. Love it. The only thing I could put my finger on, is that when a thumb is clicked the page reloads. A bit anoying, but I love it anyway!

I like your dreamy smooth style Socar.
And the page looks professional, but as andskj said, the page reloads for some strange reasone when you click the thumbs. |

Socar:
There's two things that you can do to resolve the "reloading" issue.
The first is to set your link as a href="#" which just defaults the page without reloading.
A better choice is to set the link as a href="javascript:null();" which calls a null function (essentially, it means do nada with the main page)
A third option is to set your window popup code as a function and call it by using a href="javascript:functionName();" but I'm thinking that's a bit too much, and won't help with different sized popups (unless you write out a function for each...argh!)
Anyway, love the site, and I hope it helps.

SM - Great site! Love the rats, makes me think of Redwall. The site is great and easy to navigate. I also enjoyed the tutorials. You are planning more of those I hope. |

Yeah, I know about the page-reloading thing. It's a Javascript thing--a bit hard to explain, but to get the popup window, one has to put a URL into the code to 'fool' the browser into opening up the new window--so one uses the current URL, so the page doesn't seem to change. I would have done all this with Flash instead, and saved the trouble, but Flash and I are having violent disagreements right now.... *G* |

I have seen this before, and it is possible to solv. Maybe start a thread in random musing, so someone could help you out. Many of the artist in here, has pop-up windows that work.... |

hey socar cool site, clean and simple with good content
just one thing about that javascript you used for your thumbs, have you considered putting the "onclick=...." in the image url instead of inside the link code there by making it not neccesary to have the thumbs be links, just a thought
i'm sure you probably won't want to mess with it any further as i can understand, but maybe it might be something you will want to consider when you update your site next |

Yes, Your artwork is exceptional, and I like the unique style, whats with all the furry animals?
-I can't say I was impressed by the speed or by the site design, but it was easily navigable, so I reckon you achieved what you wanted. Good job M8.
