Okay here's a pic I did. I really don't know what it is, but it's just doesn't convey the 'effect' I had in mind. I think there's something wrong with the colours or something. I just can't pinpoint what 'it' is. I just hate it and I can't be bothered with it anymore.

Please help me out with any crit you can come up with.

-Jason

He seems very flat...And the trees behind him do not help in that aspect. Try tightening up the light source and maybe he will pop out some more.

How is the front getting lit up if the moon is in the back? Darken darken darken!

Are you talking about the green ambient light?
I was trying to get the whole 'misty swamp' atmosphere going.
But I guess that didn't work. Thanks for the tips, both you and akolyte.

HEy man, here's a quick fix. I increased the contrast, desaturated, and then darkened selected areas of the picture... all without repainting a thing. You're just stuck in mid-tone limbo right now.

Jason thats pretty sw33t,
Kaareandrews got the right idea, make the light on to his back and bit more stronger but I like the suttle bg, it looks like its got a bit to much colour dodge on kaareandrew's 1 and smoke or mist is coming off his back .....

The lower ligting makes it seem like he is looking at some glowing thing.. if you want swamp glow.. it should be a light phosphorescent glow (green/yellow)
more detail would help..
but don't mind me

OMG, I love it, but you HAVE to add rain, that's the one thing that popped in my mind as soon as I saw it and I can't get over it.
