Hey again,

here's the polished version of the cover I posted a couple of days ago. Sadly, after I've finished it, I heard that the guys in charge actually wanted something different, but they just wasn't able to communicate that with us. That's so typical when you provide art to someone that doesn't know how to talk the "artist-language" or if you are working for someone that actually don't know what they want before you show it to them.

anyway, I don't really mind. It's just sad to put so much work into something that goes to waste. But, the good part, they must pay for theire own mistake and I get to paint more

realsize closeup, if anyone is interessted in that..

Wow, so good! The kid's face looks a bit sinister in my opinion, but maybe that's its purpose
I like the colours very very much... er.. I like EVERYTHING very much! The best of the 3 you showed us so far, IMHO,thanks!

very very nice Joachim. Just one comment - I think the hat and the mountain aren't seperated very well, but that could be intentional.... is it? Anyway; congratulations on them not accepting the painting, eh-heh

That looks really good. Especially the clothing and... everything actually. It's a shame that the pic won't be used. Just post that "something different" also when you get to it and if you can.

Really great job. Joachim one thing i dont like in this beautiful pic, and that is her/his nose. Not the shape, the colour of his/her nose. And more exactly, the tone of the nose colour [easy. now?]. Too dark, though.
Look's like she/he weare an plastic nose... errr, pardon me if i'm wrong.

Yes, nice work on this. The background is outstanding. The only thing that bothers me a bit is her nose, like Bizarde said, and her eyes look kinda' "hard". I don't think it detracts from the pic very much, though, and since it's a game for children I think that style actually helps the picture. Tough luck about the client not wanting to use it. I haven't had to go through that yet, but as long as you get paid...

Outstanding
The colors and the whole mood of the pic remind me a lot of the Ultima Underworld II cover, if anyone remembers that

Rockin Joachim! Your lighting is getting so good that can guide the users "feeling" about the painting with such ease!

Micke must get frustrated not being able to paint at work I gather he does the low-poly models and textures...

Nice work Joachim!

What a treat for the eyes to see the final version. I know you keep getting comments about the mountain but it really is very nice. I also like the costume on the figure. As for the face and the possible unnerving countanence... well I like it alot. No crits.

Oh my.. Looks good especially the bg, but that young troll is about to do something, it scares me. She's like looking and -bang- takes large butcherknife and -swish-swosh-slush-slush- the fjell is covered with blood. Trolls are unpredictable beasts, watch out!

Lovely.
