wow, i know that its very difficult to draw with a low price tablet. the sense and handling is not optimal. ...but for this, the picture is great. in addition corel 7 is not so good for drawing.

the lightning is very nice, but why is your right eye so hidden?

would you buy a wacom soon?

Remember it's not the tools, but the talent...and you've got it. The tools definitely help, but not in your case, you don't need the extra help. I've goto 2 Wacom Tablets, an Intuos and ArtZII both 6 x 8. I bought my wife a Wacom Graphire tablet for her birthday and I know she'll enjoy it.

Thank you all for your critics.
Although I understand Magics sight of things ... I don't wanna be the slave of any hard- or software and: I tried PS on a friends computer and didn't recognize 'the BIG' difference on such a 'low' painting level (just using brushes, no filters, no layers a.s.o.)
P.S. - Concerning the Wacom: Give me the money an I won't say a word!

Been hanging around here for a while ... just looking at all the amazing stuff. Thought it was time to post - well, actually a friend told me to (btw: greetz to Chara - hate ya!)
... Anyway ... here I am. This is one of my first digital pictures, done with a very-VERY-low-price tablet in ... ehhhm ... COREL7... *evilgrin*
This should be enough for you folks to start lynching!

(reference > mirror)
... still experimenting to find my individual way to work ...

hmm, yeah i know that a wacom cannt make a great artist, but a wacom can support a great artist a lot and make the work easier.

oh, you didnt answer my right eye question btw.

nice job...I want to see about a hundred more.

a personal style comes all by itself...it will reflect the art that you like...as well as your character...but its not something you can really predetermine...just make stuff you like...and stuff you want to do...and it will happen...but ya have to make a lot of it...a lot..a lot ...a lot.

... yes I know (did many oil paintings before starting the digital stuff about easter.

@Magicman: I cut/didn't work out the left part to increase the suspense (? ... don't no the exact translation of 'Bildspannung') of the picture - make it cooperating with the format. Think it works (to quote an art professor from Krakow: "See the form - not the shape") - So what do you think?:

I don't think you need to finish the left eye, but I definately prefer the 'uncropped' version.

Uh, somebody got this threat out of the tomb *spechless*
Having a little lack of inspiration at the moment. Hopefully my muse will hear your encouraging words and return to me.

Magicman: I really tried to finish a second version of the portrait including a worked out left part, but it got ... frustrating ... Seems as if my mind has moved on? Don't know...
