Did this in my painting class this semester. Canvas size is 16" x 20". Sorry for the poor image quality, the only digital camera I had access to was kinda sucky but anyway, any crits and/or comments would be appreciated. Photo reference was used for this pic.

Hey yeah, that's nice! Oil painting's something I've been dying to do, but I haven't had the time or money. Soon, though! Have you tried painting digitally? You'd pick it up quickly.

I wish you had a better photo available, can't say much about the details looking at this.

Well, it's very beautiful in every case. I'd definitely like to take a look at the original.

Hey, thanks guys, I'm glad you liked it. I have another oil painting from this semester but I'm kind of hesitant to post it, the colors got murdered by the crappy digital camera used to take a pic of it, and I havent had much luck restoring them in photoshop

the_monkey: wow, thats quite a compliment, thank you.

Sedone: DO IT! I looked at your site, and judging from your work, I'm sure you'd have a lot of fun with oils. They're pretty easy to use as long as you aren't afraid to play around with em and experiment a bit, and it doesnt really take all that long to get a decent grasp on how to work with them. The painting above is my fourth traditional painting ever.

Yeah I've played with painting digitally a bit but never really finished anything, although I do have a piece that I hope to finish tomorrow, I'll post it soon :P

Tommy: Thanks :P

Staff Sarge: Yeah, I'm disappointed by the photo too, I wish I could provide a better one but right now its just not possible. I'm planning on buying a digital camera sometime this summer, a camedia e-10 would be nice, though a little expensive at the moment, hehe.
