i haven't posted in a *very* long time, so i thought that i would. everything i've been doing lately has been in traditional media, and i don't have a digital camera yet, so i scanned in one of the smaller things i've done. it is a 22 minute contour study of a head, and there is a colored version also that i worked on. i'll take some regular pictures and scan them in, but probably not for a while. oh, there is a wierd ass pic of ivey also. enjoy!

Very nice, I like what you did with it, especially the lighting. You've actually inspired me to try something

Looks good. Great lines. I think the jaw and and the lower part of the head is a tad too small though. You should have stuck more to the outer line that you used to shape the jaw, it would look even better IMO.

I don't get it... Why has the girl plastered Atari all over her? I mean I like Atari but I just don't get why she's covered in a company name like that... enlighten me please... Oh - that shaded head looks really promising. I bit busy right now and some areas are rather flat, but it's a neat idea.

the shaded head looks quite good, but the chin has a different perspective than the upper head.. maybe you can fix it somehow |

thx for the comments, i appreciate them..
the shaded one did come out odd, i agree.. i might just stay with the lines, i really like how they came out. perhaps i can fix the shaded one digitally without messing it up too much. anyhow.. i'm back off to classes.. later |

I love that first one, the style really works for me.
The second is cool but maybe would of been nicer to be more experimental with it?? looks like its gotten very comical compared to the sketch.
Third one ummm, not really sure what to say about this one..:P |

I like the colored in one best. When I look at the line one and compare to the shaded one I can see the chin perspective being almost identical. It just depends on which lines you are paying attention to. BTW I keep seeing The mysterious Ivey here and there on these forums. Who is she? She has a unique beauty and the ambiguity of some of the posts make my curiosity greater. Is she and artist? List member? Keep posting stuff. |

Hi, Mr. Hiemey, it certainly has been a while. I thought you'd abandoned us
Interesting stuff. I like the one in the middle. What's with the blurry ivey? I don't understand. |
