I wanted to try something a little different today, and I wanted to make something fast. But more than anything I wanted to make something I could actually post here! Yeesh, I haven't posted an image in a while. So here it is, not quite finished but not quite unfinished either - I think I like it that way

v1510nAry - Thank you!

Luci - Woop, I've very surprised that someone remembered that initial sketch. I'm glad you like it

Dryfire - *giggles*

Visigoth - Nice comment coming from you, considering you're the king of simplistic style

Poprocksz - Thanks!

ReSistanZ -

Wyatt Turner - Ooof, deja vu Thanks again. I thought the sharp little teeth would make him look a bit creepier.

Rinaldo - *giggles*

Ed Lee - Thank you. Compliments from you are really appreciated, I love your art.

Collosimo - Thanks so much. I tend to draw sinister looking things... don't know why. Maybe I should try something cutesie next.

hey Jezebel
colours are realy well chosen, but the pose is a little too flat. I know you can make it better. I'd be more realistic if the dragon's neck would be more curved and if the dragon would be looking to us. I'd give more depth to the pic, and it's the thing that's missing.

Sempere - Unfortunately I haven't been up to a whole lot, that's why I was determined to get this image posted today. Thanks for your compliments

Wyatt - I really appreciate that.

Magicman - You try telling him to his face that he has small teeth. He doesn't like that one bit! Name? Nothing yet... any suggestions?

Cos - Thank you, I am glad you like the lighting because it's something I was trying hard to get decent looking.

Tepox - Thank you!

Dives - It probably took me a little under an hour.

Negative - Thanks for the crit. I agree that the neck could use more development, but I intentionally left the image unfinished. As for the pose, it's a personal preference of mine that some of the mystery is taken away when a character is facing the viewer. For more technical thing (like concept art) I think it can be ok, but otherwise I prefer a more candid view.

Thanks

Those colors are really good, esp. the bright ones in the lower left corner area. I like dragons done this color instead of green or something, it makes them look hot and firey

Ramp - I did the initial sketch in Paintchat but I colored it in Photoshop. Glad you like

Extension - I agree, I really like non-green dragons. At least not REALLY green dragons. Sometimes people color them with such high saturated colors that they look cartoony. I like it when they are more of a muted color of green.

Morbid - Thanks. That was the effect I was hoping to achieve.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

Lovely strokes Jezebel. Nice and loose, and with just a few marks you've managed to create atomosphere. As soon as I looked at it, I was reminded of the old film "Dragonslayer". That's my favorite dragon. More???
