These pics were cged in PS 5.5, but I just bought Painter 6 for an amazing bargain of $130. I saw a while back someone on this board with a Painter tutorial on their site. Could someone plz direct me to a Painter tutorial. Here are some pics.

The first one reminds me of one of my own characters...very nice
On the second one the left arm seems long..
and does he have 4 arms? kinda confusing..
other than that I love the style....
The mix-up hero is rad....
it reminds me of a 80's Marvel ad........

Hey, pretty good style! I like it.
I don't know much tutorials but I guess you could do it the hard way - paint, paint, paint, study others' works ( especially spooge demon's -> www.goodbrush.com ), paint, ask for help/comments, paint, paint etc.
And after that, paint.
$130 for Painter? Wow. |

I Like it. the second ones rear arms are confusing, perhaps show us where they are attaching on the body under the front arms.

Chip,
That's a nice, clean style you've got there, and I like how you've rendered-up your figures as well....hey I am a Painter fanatic...I don't know of any Painter tutorials, but I definitely plan to write some of my own since I use Painter 5.03 (not 6) exclusively for drawing, and Photoshop for finishing, text, complex selections, etc.
Painter RULES, especially with a Wacom Intuos tablet...I use a 6x8.
Great work!

Maybe Matrix rapid arm movements? yet the hands and arms change clothes, and where does the weapon go?
Nice sketches.. I like the char in the first one... but you need to do more with the background... |

YEAH that's it thanx BooMSticK
that's the one I was looking for. Some of his art is on the content cd that comes w/ Painter 6.
NukleoN yeah you're right, I have a 12x12 myself I think it's too big but since it was the same price as the 9x12 I thought it was the most logical.
Collosimo thanx for the c+c but I only colored the first one and since the penciller didn't draw a bg I just improvised to liven it up.
