I first posted an image here, but i thought you might abuse it for own needs, cuz your assignment you give is very specific, i mean you could use our pics and send them to a contest and claim it your own.

Darkstarangel, time is not important

But, the more you draw the faster you get were you want. Atleast that's what I've experienced. This took me no more than 15 minutes actually. But, it's not often it happens that easily.

Why doesn't someone else give it a go. It's really fun. And, a really nice way to exercise good ways of using reference. Because, it's helpful to look at a photo(or it's almost a must), but still you must try to get as far away from the original as possible...if not it just get to look like a bad stiff and strange portrait. And, I think, this is a good way to use use reference as an artist, you cannot just sit and bluntly copy what you see, but must analyse, interpret, improvise and add so that it becomes something different. try it, you won't regret
