Chris, you're talking about Aenima-- Die Eier Von Satan, and it's more like The Devil's Eggs, which is an odd pastry.
And Lateralus is the worst TooL cd yet, and that's saying something. |

no shit, i liked some tracks off Aenima, like Stinkfist and Forty Six & 2, but Lateralus is just plain boring and unoriginal, The Patient is the only song i could kinda stomach.... |

I've had the new Tool CD for a few weeks now (got an mp3 leak, then I bought it a few days ago)
for 1 thing, its not unoriginal at all... name one band that produces a sound like that cd- its moody, gothic, industrial, and has a little did of metal thrown in here and there.
I do think its not the band's best CD, but I think its still a classic all the way.
tool, in my opinion, is probably one of the best bands around. the songs are powerfull, wether they are slow or fast. and thier lyrics acctually mean something. it's not this same-ol "the bitch dumped my so i'm gunna scream into a mic for 5 minutes" bullshit that every other rock band is spittin out these days.
i dunno... we're all entitled to our own opinions, but i think some of you arent' giving it a chance. in fact, i didn't like the cd at first. i thought there was too much instramentals and it was too slow, but now every time i listen too it, i like it more. lateralus is quickly becoming one of my favorite cds. |

I just bought "Lateralus", I think it's great.
I only bought the CD 'cause I've heard good stuff about Tool and it seemed like a band I would dig. Plus I liked A Perfect Circle's "Mer De Noms" a lot.
Should check in to some of the older stuff of Tool as well... But right now I'm holding back after spending an assload of money on CDs. |

TOOL is the greatest progressive-metal
band ever and they deserve alot of credit for creating a unique sound and perfecting it a little bit more each album.
Opiate was very raw and sounded very garage
but it is the most straight -foward rock album
Undertow was still raw but with a produced feel.....no one call deny the awesome of
SOBER and it's video....same with Prison Sex
Aenima was a very produced album and songs
Third Eye and 46 & 2 wre so good......and this was the start of their abstract rock journey......
Lateralus is very abstract and is the best album because the atmosphere of it is so beautiful yet so dark.........I bought it
the day it came out and I go to sleep to it every night.....I see it as a story in reverse when ya really listen....but it might just be me..........
No other band will ever sound like TOOL and
Maynard's voice is the best in the biz......period......
