his head is supposed to look like that...very Jacobs ladder. I might rethink it though the_monkey
hmmm Magic 8 ball says " outlook looks good "
roundeye. I finally got a good writer and am going to really try and do it this time. If all the pages turn out like this one I think I have a good shot. This is the only one I have so far that I like...more will come though. |

Hey, nick, nice work.
Your 'look' works great, I only have some touchy little crits:
1) is this full bleed? Have you cropped your page show on the board? You might want to expand the artwork a bit if this is the full image, that "x" symbol is too close to the border in panel 2 otherwise.
2) I'd make the gutters wider in all panels, skinny gutters make it hard for the reader to understand panel separation. esp. with lots of blacks.
3) you have a congruency between panels 1 and 6, it looks like the big face from pnl 2 is blending in on the left side of pnl.6...it pulls the eye over to 6 too soon.
I am looking forward to seeing more, this is cool stuff! I like the way the radial lines, the globe, the map, and the head all tie together between pnls 1 and 2. I like the color too. |

I'm excited about this stuff nickmarksdotcom! Is it good photomanip? For sure. What I'm really interested in though, is the narrative. I'm seeing some really interesting use of spatial relationships and form to give meaning to the world, brain, interpol logo and gun. I can't wait to see if the script can underline these very metaphorical panel arrangements. Show us more! |

if it's supposed to be the same charater why do they both look so different? One guy has no 3rd eye and his face in smashed and the other one does |
