Home, work, road...it did not matter. I drove around aimlessly. Where can I get some stneil777??? Every dark street corner, every "friend", every cyber caf�, wondering if anyone, someone.... had some stneil777.

I was addicted.

I had reached rock bottom....so I thought.

Rock bottom came the other evening when I was lying awake at 3 a.m. thinking of stneil777. He’s in my thoughts. He’s in dreams. He has become me...?

I’ll just fire up the ol’ computer for a minute or two. Just a bit of stneil777. What harm can it do? I can stay away if I want to...

Three hours later, my wife opens my studio door and is greeted by her husband curled up in a fetal position right-clicking, left-clicking....clicking, clicking, clicking....!!!!

Eh guy, I think you need to go away for a little while, or a long while come back when your a little more compatent with a new name. Buy a pen, don't buy a pen, but stop calling it a mouse pen it bugs the hell out of me. Call it a wacom, a pen tablet, a pen, a tablet, a stylus, a hightech pen, magic pencil, a mysterious stick used on a board with a cord, but not mouse pen. I was hoping the upgrade would shut you up but I guess not so I recommend spending over a week on one drawing before posting or just leave.
Ok, I'm done. Oh and the picture, I believe its not a paint over, I think its an outlining and then paint over. Ok now I'm really done, and I promise not to say anything more about this.

I find myself refreshing my browser over and over. I don't know why or when it happened but I just have to see it...read it. Silently I hope that one more person will post. Hopefully with a clue as to what it is and what it wants. I am sure of one thing...it isn't human.

Don't fool yourself...You are under it's spell...you must read lines like:

LOL. Ok, here's my theory on *who* stneil777 is.. I suspected this the day he first spammed the boards but tried to hold back from contributing to any thread he posted. But, now that I see he has so many loyal *addicts*.. I guess one more post to shed a little light on who he could be and why he's here won't hurt anything.

So.. without further ado(drumroll).. stneil777 is......................................................................................................... One of us..

Which one exactly, I have no clue.. but.. I just can't shake the feeling that he's one of the known members of this forum, one that has been around long enough to know the *unspoken* rules of this forum and how to break them. To put it simply, stneil777 is a textbook case. Perfect, maybe too perfect for him to be believable.. at least for me anyway.

He knows all the right, or maybe wrong, buttons to push. He traces, <irony>his spelling is utterly impeccable</irony>, he knows all the right newbie questions to ask and comments to make (examples: reference to "blurriness", what brushes to use, or "I know it sucks but I'm going to blame it on my mouse...")... blah.. the list goes on.. I'll give him one thing, he leaves no stone unturned, he covers all the bases, and then comes back and hits em a couple more times for good measure.

Anyway, I can't shake the feeling that he's one of us, getting a big laugh out of playing the forum the way he is. Watching us all scramble to flame stneil777, heck, maybe he even helps in the flaming. It would make his little joke on the forum that much more enjoyable for him.

So, until dhabih or our ever *non-vigilent* moderator bans him and maybe cross-references his ip with ip's of other forum members for matches, I only ask that people try to refrain from posting to stneil777's threads, that is unless you enjoy participating in his mockery of the forum.

I dunno, maybe I'm getting into this too much, but I just hate to see the countless ammount of newbies, that are actually trying and deserving of replies, that slip through the cracks without so much as a passing comment in their threads because the forum is off flaming the latest and greatest *anti-artist*.

Oh well, sorry for the rant/conspiracy theory, by all means do what you will, but this will be my first and last post to any of stneil777's threads.

He just wants attention, whether he's real or a prank. If he's real, he has proven he lacks any sort of integrity or common sense. If he's a prank, it's getting really annoying.

How many among us have never traced from a comic book before? Who has never copied some *wonderful* artist in an atempt to improve. Stnielle451, is a child (no offense) in terms of art experience. he's going through the motions of a young aspiring artist. How can we judge even a 30 year old who is trying to claw his gruby way up, let alone a wee young man starting while he still has some youth left in the bucket.

I copied, I traced and I'm not afraid to admit it. Just make sure you emphasize the need to branch off and make something of yourself. Lets stop acting like pharasees and help our fellow art man.

I think it's great, no matter what you do, that someone is creative and actually made the decision to sit down and produce something. Traced or not - who cares - as long as you're not being dishonest about it.

Look at Andy Warhol - if we'd apply the criteria on him, boy - the guy copied EVERYTHING (that bastard - the tomato soup label wasn't his design, etc. ...) - he basically stinks when being viewed through the 'no tracing/overpainting/whatsoever glasses. It always depends on how it's being presented.
Really - people can even threnodize as long as they mention it and are being honest about it.

I won't even comment on this specific case because there's too much fuel in the fire already.

Yes in matter of fact i used a super high beem lazer light from NASA and shined it behind the contact board to see threw it then begain to trace Madonna from evita. Yeah same technique used by mail men to read your mail threw the envolope, lol man you guys bust me up.
