Some may consider these art

Under the pier
The pier again (my favorite)
I don't know why
At the river .. I liked the reflection of the clouds
There was a fire and it was being torn down .. but earlier when I drove by it looked like a bomb had gone off. By the time I got back with my camera they'd done more to it and it didn't look as good.
Me 1
Me 2
Me 3 (my favorite of me)
You may recognize her.
The camera...
...does not do her justice

first off .. ivey and mrhiemey are both still around .. they just never post. or read posts. or visit the page.

and all but the ones of Ivey are digital, from my olympous d360L. the ones of her are from my Canon EOS Rebel 2000 scanned on my CanoScan. That's like 150dpi if I remember correctly .. the scanner goes up to 1200 but it takes like a week

I have some more but I scanned them all 3 at a time and it takes a while to rotate/crop them out .. I'll post them when I get em done.

and I'm starting to get into it as a hobby, yes. I'm planning on going into Graphic Design, and one of the requirements during the program will be Photography. I want to take it sooner, but I have too many prereqs to do and won't have time.

This scanner has a negative scanner as well, so I think I might get the materials I need to develop black and white print and give developing a shot. Then just print the ones I like on the computer.

Those are nice pics.
Thought I'd share one of mine, taken with an Olympus 2100 ultra zoom. I was out photographing some burrowing owls on the FAU campus that my wife is helping someone do a study on. Even at 10x zoom (388mm) I think I was still a bit too close for Mr. Grumpy here.

I like to call this one "No Soliciting":

Hey Tweeder I hope you don't mind me comenting on some of your pictures. My favorite was your favorite, the one under the pier. Good composition. I also like the composition on the pictures of yourself. However, the picture of the river with the reflection of the clouds is really "static" with the horizon right through the middle like that. If you wanted you could have moved it higher to focus more on the reflections or lower to focus on more of the clouds. Just my thoughts.

no i don't mind at all .. that's why i posted them.

and i agree about the cloud one .. that wasn't a planned shot. i was pretty much just driving around and headed out towards the river. i thought it looked pretty cool so i snapped it, didn't put a whole lot of thought into making it look better.
