This is a model I did for the polycount competition -->(http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/contest/badgirl/)
I wasnt sure weather to post it in finished or wip but i figured im done with the modelling. I think I will get someone else to skin it if I find anyone, Im not sure yet though... Does anyone want to or no anybody who would?
Anyway I would really like crits. Be brutally honest cos its for a competition and thats what the judges will be.
its cat woman by the way...
should I leave the whiskers on? |

If this is 1500 triangles, you've got some serious optimization to do.. she doesnt look more detailed than Q3's models (which are ~1000 triangles).
I just noticed she has fingers? You should use those triangles where they would be more noticable, her arms could really use thoes to be "rounder". There's also something that bothers me about her pose.. maybe bring her shoulders back a little? Got any reference pic of how your model is supposed to look?

shes 1300 triangles, so I can add a bit more.
Yeh, fingers take a lot of polys, i think theyre becoming standard now, or at least soon. Theres also a lot of detail in her face...
Ill add some more on her arms, and maybe legs... |

I would make her hands mittens with just a thumb and forefinger. That will give you something to articulate in a pose, as well as save on some tri's.
As an aside ( I can't tell for sure without and "edged faces" display) check to make sure all your edges are turned the right direction. This will aid in the smoothness of the model, as well as insure that it animates nicely.
I would use some of those leftover polys in the arms as well, give em a little more meat.
Great model otherwise.

the model looks really good, I think you should get rid of the wiskers and tail though... they look just a bit rediculous (spelling?) the hair looks great, and the rest of the model is very good, (better than any female I've done yet)
I can't seem to tell from here, but do the fingers have those catwoman "claws" ?
allso, for the compatition, I'd suggest a nice third "crouching" pose to put the model in charecter, cus c'mon, it's catwoman |
