I LOVE this Forum......I'm an aspiring Comic
Book artist and even had an offer from Dark Horse to draw Star Wars........You can ask Blitz......He wouldn't be here if I didn't make him not think about Football all the time...now his dream isn't tacklin' people,
It's drawing them........I have alot of shit to show ya but ya gotta wait till I get him to scan it and post it for me..(i'm a poor
starving artist). I got a good response to the Spider-man topic and so I would like to see EVERYONE"S take on old 80's cartoons.
Stuff like Transformers, Thundercats, He-Man,
G.I.Joe, Ninja Turtles, and Voltron.

I sent Blitz a Transformers and a Thundercats pic to post here in the next few. I love all the styles and support we give each other. Let's show that we haven't forgot the cartoons that fueled our imaginations DRAW ON

I did this some time ago:

might fit this thread well(check the cap). Oh yeah, me and Chester at Innerloop just printed a couple of Transformers t-shirts. Could post a photo of it later..

Miami Vice, Knight rider, and dare I bring up the gods of the 80's DURAN DURAN !!!!!

*zero dances about singing - 'please please tell me now, . . . is there something I should know, . . . '*

It's a comming and us 80 freaks are just awaiting.
Can't say that I'll be happy to see those "leg warmer" thingies the girls were wearing, but I still got my skinny black leather tie on stand-by with the matching braces!! and are looking for another pair of those "puffy" ankled basket ballboots like I used to have.

Like the mailman delivering the power bill, the revival is on its way, so you better be ready to break out the hair gel guys.

Hey....thanks for putting this in Random Musings for me....i thought i was when I posted........

Yeah the fashion of the 80's is still around.....but they tweeked it to have a lame
2000 look. Wasn't the 80's all about the future? If you look at all the decades.....
The 80's is the best. We got Mtv(even though it sucks now)and then we all went crazy. If you ask me......1984 WAS the end of the world.

We had an dumbass actor for a President(well nothing changes I guess)who ignored AIDS and
screwed-up our economy. It's a fact that in
1984....it would have costed 80,000 bucks
to test everyone for the AIDS virus. Plus,
they could have contained it completely, but
the issue was about adressing the Homosexual community, whitch was not a Christian ethic.
So they pawned it of as "GOD'S" punishment
and ignored it. I myself am not gay, but
having some-one say that is wrong. So now
we have great memories of New Wave tunes
and what "lies" hidden.............

Sorry I got all political. It just pisses me off that our government spends more money on
POLITICAL CAMPAIN ADVERTISING....than real problems.......

I still wanna see some pics though....peace

then you must have liked the 90s better. considering infinitely more money and effort was spent on the issue than rightfully should have been. didnt mean to get political.
memories are so selective that now, upon drunking pondering, im pretty sure that in reality the 80s sucked the bag. 3 words for ya: acid fuckin wash.

well.....i'm not drunk.....but I always get that way.....I think the 90's were worse cuz
we had to spend the whole decade FIXING the
problems that the 80's brought.

But this topic isn't about politics or world
problems......It's about the love of 80's comics and 'toons.

The 90's brought us the
Power Rangers(whitch is a blatent Voltron rip off), Pokemon(and all the clones),and that god-awful Beast Wars show.......

The 70's gave us CRAP like Scooby Doo(admit it guys and gals, Scooby Doo sucks), the lame
ass Super-Friends, and all the wanna-be
Scooby-Doo knockoffs ya can think of. If
Cartoon Network plays Jabber-Jaw one more time i'm gonna stop watching........peace

Hey stevethomas THANX for the Thundercats pic, not bad...........less bull, more 80's pics

yes! A-Team rules! Other then a handfull of movies, I can't stand the 80's. What the hell did they do to all the cars?? Was the "Blocky, ugliest-color-you-can-think-of" look in? About 85% of the serious movies were horribly lame, hairstyles = ugly, and the music makes me want to puke my guts out.

::ahem:: sorry about that, please don't flame me, it's just my opinion...

I'm sorry Blitz.......but, The Misfits are
the best 80's punk band(even though they ended in the 80's too)(well in my eyes)(they're still around, but without
Glen Danzig as the singer they suck)
Second is the Dead Kennedys. But the best ever band to come out of the 80's is
Nine Inch Nails(who are still the best in the world). Second is Depeche Mode.
