So, I've had no inspiration for the longest time. No new stories, no new pictures... (well - not really the longest time... it's been about a week or so, which is too long for me). So I finally managed to get a picture going, and decided to just let it flow. To hell with anatomy and anything else that mattered =/ I just needed to draw something.
This is the "something". I'm hoping I'll have more inspiration in the week to come...

Nice work there, I really like the atmospheric feeling it gives out when I look at it. Looks like the kinda images you'd expect to see in a fantasy book
Good work Enayla. |

I know this painting wasn't designed or laid out in advance...and wasn't meant to be anything serious, so I hope you don't mind some crits.
You might want to rework the folds of cloth to flow with the cloud shapes. Right now the cloth's harsh vertical kills the dynamic diagonal motion you created with the grainy scratches and most of the clouds.
There's not much of a sense of scale or depth either. And it's a lot muddier than your usual stuff.
But you know all this, I'm sure...
I DO like the grainy texture in the hilight areas, and the face & hair areas are nice as well.

Whenever i see a post with your name on it, i open it eagerly. This isn't your best piece of work, but even without any inspiration or planning, it's still better than anything I've ever done, by far. So keep up the good work |

I do not think anatomy is truly important in this piece. What it does a great job of is conveying a great sense of mood (and not in the least bit depressing). Just the way the character is almost "controlling" the cloads is amazing. And everything Enayla does could not be complete without the amazing hair, of course. |

She's lovely! I like the monochrome approach, and the feeling of the vapour swirling around
I also like that its a full body framing
Keep 'em coming

I like it. I'd love to see that light spot in the center go warmer and more saturated. Dashing some warm lighting in the middle of that cold painting might look really interesting. Just a thought |

In about half and hour Milk, To look at all of Lindas good paintings I think its a good 18 day tour. And thats if we spend just a few seconds at each painting. |

I look at it and just go in awe...
I agree with the others, this is something that you might see on the cover (or for that matter inside) a fantasy book...
I love your work (as always) |

Thanks everyone =)
I know there are loads of mistakes in the picture, and that I could've pulled it off much better. It was just an attempt on my side to get out of the inspirational low I've hit.
I'll see if I can produce something nice and interesting tonight that might be more enjoyable to look at =D |

Very nice colours, it looks like there is a slight texture over the image, but it could just be jpg quality or something, very nice though |

Yay! You managed to salvage it!
I actually like it, quite a lot. I love the clouds... the whole thing is very moody. I like moody things today.
Not sure if this is relevant or not, but this is one of your more painterly looking pictures, I think... nice.
Edit: Too tired to spell.

Nice one - I love the feel.
The dip in the small of her back really makes the figure come alive and the rough cloudy texture you've given it is just great. |
