htey're looking really good so far dude.. but I must admit I dont really understand what the symbol is... or what its for.... It doesnt seem to tie anything together.. or to be tied to anything..
your drawings are decent enough tho.. keep working on it. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I had to really study these images to tell what was going on shamhead (especially the second image). Upon closer inspection, you've actually got some nice stuff happening in there, but the images have become very muddy .
Concept boards are really great for representing the mood of the piece and to tease viewer so they want to see more of the characters, setting and story.
I reworked the second image below (hope you don't mind), using a limited palette of cool blues to push back the shadows and contrast against the warm tones. I also pulled out some highlights (the flying things helmet, the trolls eye etc.) to allow the eye to move around the image and have something to 'latch' on to.
I'd suggest checking out Dave McKean's work, as he's a master at this style.
Good work, and good luck @ Uni!

thanks visual myriad your reworking
definitely seems to be easier on the eye in
terms of allowing the eye to move more
smoothly about the page, so ill give it a
shot myself!
yea, ive think ive read a few comics
illustrated by Dave McKean like Violent Cases
so ill go have another look for inspiration ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
