The leprchan is obviously Mignola inspired. I love his little people. This is a break from my usual, so it may look a little awkward.
Francis's expirements with no line work made me think about my own dependancy on lines. so I tried this, no sketch or drawing just went in straight and painted. I also was influenced by sear if you couldn't tell.
Anyway let me know what you think.

Heeh, I like it! So completely different from your usual style. It's always fun to see people try out something new =)

If it looks awkward, I sure can't see how.

if it wasnt for the fact that his left cheek was sunk way to in, he has no chin, and his mouth is way to broad etc.. then itd be wikkid. i love it! i think im gonna try the same thing.

love the nose by the way...

Ya, that is definately not the normal agent44 but its great. And roundeye, I think the facial features like that work, its all part of the style. sear's work is even more stylized than this.

Good job

HEY! thats the little guy from that one where the title revolves around a box, and hell. he's so cool, he's like some sort of 'count-monkey'. he's one of my favourite characters , along side Abe Sapien. mignola funkin' rocks! he's one of the best artists in the world. i love you for doing this pic, it made me love mike (for his artwork) all over again! oh, and the pic is really bitchin too

i wasnt critiquing it as if i thought it was intended to be photorealistic. i dont know who sears is, and i can see what this is intending, but i still dont think the cheek/jaw works. thats all.
just cuz somethings 'stylized', dosent mean you can put shit wherever you want and expect it to automatically work.

Conversely, I think it works very well. If anything, I think his right cheek should have a heavier shadow under it to match up with the left one. The jaw and mouth are prefect.

It's definitely a huge leap from your other work, or perhaps you just don't show this kind of thing very often. Either way, the two styles compliment each other very nicely indeed.

I love the expression on the guy's face. It's excellent.

i love the fact that its not just another green monochrome image. infact very little green at all. just a bit in the shadows.

i like the departure from your style. not saying that your style isnt good, because it really rocks, just mean that i like a little variety and this hit the spot. in style and expectations of a theme, i was surprised on both counts.

Pretty OK. Just don't like the "eyes". I would make them little brighter.
