Actually, in this picture they've all ready seen the wizard, since tinman has his heart and the lion his courage. I've always liked this story and had done some sketches a long time ago of these characters. Finally I did something a little more polished with it. Let me know what you think.

ah! so courage is a small gas powered chainsaw....
nice stuff Agent44, going back to your basics I see
none of that painterly stuff
love it
, although one little crit, i's just that the lion seems to stick out of this group being very realistic looking...

What do I think?

It's wonderful =) I love the style (as usual!) - it's so clean and neat looking.

The simpler shading works wonderfully with this piece, too. I really like how you depict the characters =)

Um, I'm looking hard for something to crit on - only thing I can even think of is that the lion's eyes make him look slightly insane ;D

Not sure if that's a bad thing though. Heh.

The linework is most excellent as always. My only crit would be about colors : they're a bit dull for fairy tale characters...

This reminds me on the time I played the Tin man in a School play, I sucked,

Well I like the overal maybe slaping a forest or osmething on the background ?, The Lion's head seems a bit of, don't really know why... But I like it..

agent - i love this new image. its great to see such an interesting interpretation of the OZ character. I was about to say how much i love the tinman inarticulate, but then i noticed Dorothy and then the lion.... oh heck i love them all. my only crit (and here i'll have to respectfully disagree with roundeye) is that i'm not so keen on the colors. its interesting but i'm not really sure if its the best pal for the piece. kinda sade and forelorn... regardless its a lovely piece.

It would be awesome to have a cartoon or animated film using these characters. Hold on to these agent44, I'm sure they may be useful in a client portfolio.

thanks guys, I appreciate your comments. I originally did the colors a lot more saturated and bright, but after playing around with them a bit I settled on this. I like the darker colors personally.

Wow! *BING* <-- that is the sound of my eyes lighting up. Bery, bery nice. I have no crits, I am just curious as to how you do the coloring? As of now I am developing a comic book character, and I'd really like to shade him that way. Any advice or tips you can give would be great. Look for a post soon.

good stuff,
jono

Hehe, nice one, agent. This is the type of picture I point out to everybody in the house, along with Enyala's work

That is some "awesomeness" in picture form, man!
