nice job, the only thing that looks strange to me is the edge of the hair, it looks a little blurred...other than that, everything looks fine to me.

This is pretty good. I like the voerall proportions and rendering except the ear. To me this is not an important part of the painting or a head. you don't really want to emphasise it hey? well I reckon it should be a little more diffuse in the lighting. not such bright highilights on it would make it look better. IMO
I think that the pic especially the skin is too saturated. At the moment it looks a little orange and a touch to colourful. work on that.
the hair definition is a bit blurry. I reckon you should use the same theory on the hair as you did for the eyebrows and eylashes. Little details and individual hairs around the outside and on the forehead, around the ears etc. Making it so that it looks like it grows out of the scalp rather than just a blurry edge. Oh yeah one other thing....beside the ear on the hairline it looks to red. The hairline and the ear seem to connect! aha just noticed... you need some separation there..
Hope that helps...

I like both of them. You need to sharpen up the planes in the faces and look for the more subtle details in the referances. It's al ittle too soft at the moment, making it
apear more flat |
