Trying to be a bit more painterly here. Left the brush strokes in, stayed away from the smudge tool. It's a matte painting you see for about half a second in an animation so I figured I'd try to inject some motion in the 'paint' handling.
(btw - trying out new server (my test on Brinkster failed - the page just vanished!) Can you let me know if it's really slow or image is missing...)

VERY nice! The sense of motion is absolutely excellent, here. And I do love the brushstrokes. They give it a certain...oh, what...urgency. Yeah. That. The colours are also very well chosen.
One small thing...The lady's collarbone seems just a trifle high.... But in a sketchy piece like this, it probably doesn't matter much. I didn't even notice at first. |

Good stuff... I'm not sure that's how a lady would hold a baby in distress though..

but, yah, great sense of motion and color choice is very good. |
