Lukias: Self-centered, as far as I'm concerned. Much like Anthropocentrism (the idea of a human being the shit :-))) What I meant was that if everything happens HERE and NOW, then the observer MUST be in the middle of everything... quite doubtful

Chris, light speed is unreachable, because we should become energy to get to that speed. Matter can't exist at that speed.

schabe: yeah, you're right of course. It seems that my memory failed me once again.

Reaching speed of light is impossible though. Or that's what they told me.

infinity IS endless.

well cant prove it but noone can prove the opposite too. for the ant upon the moebius strip infinty IS ALSO endless, because it can run and run end dont reach the end.

hmm... perhaps its a question of viewpoint or dimension: a 2d animal on a sphere thinks that it runs on a endless, infinite plane, while humans (3d) know, a sphere is not infinite. so for problems humans consider as infinite, some aliens that live in 4 or more dimensions see the same finity.

ok last point: i think the word 'infinity' MEANS endless and finity MEANS withend. at the end of some movies from italy sometimes appears the text 'fin'. thats the prove.

i hang my head in shame over the fact that it's ACHILLES and the tortoise, not aristotle. i could kick myself in the head for that. anyway, here's a little rundown of the story for those who havent heard about it:

achilles, world renowned warrior and athlete, is talking to a tortoise, which might have something to do with psychopharmacy, but i'm not sure. the tortoise wants to do a race vs achilles, who can run 10 yards in the time it takes the tortoise to run 1 yard. the tortoise says, "achilles, you have to give me a little head start! you are the world's fastest man, hyped on lsd to boot, and i'm just a lowly animal that routinely gets eaten by pirates." So they agree to give the tortoise a head start of ten yards.

"listen, achilles", the tortoise explains, "realize my 1337ness. by the time you will have reached my starting position, i will be 1 yard ahead already. and by the time you reach that place, i will be the tenth of a yard ahead of you, and so on. you will never be able to overtake me!"

"Bitch!", says achilles, "we race."

achilles, waiting for the tortoise at the goal they agreed on: "my penis is bigger than yours."
