Wouldn't you like to see something strange?

And after the advice of Loki, and SlightlyTwisted, I'm adding a version with a brighter moon:

That's fun. I like your other stuff even more but this caught me by pleasant surprise. I have been watching for your threads to pop up. You have my deepest respect. <bows low at the waist sweeping hat on the ground>.

Keep posting your stuff. It's like a battery charge for me.

Weeeeeha! It's so... magical! It's NBC Perfection! It's possibly your best non-portrait illustration!

*sings*
There are few who deny, at what I do I am the best,
for my talents are reknowned far and wide.
When it comes to surprises in the moonlit night,
I excel without ever even trying.
With the slightest little effort of my ghost like charms,
I have seen grown men give out a shreak!
With a wave of my hand, and a well placed moan,
I have swept the very bravest off their feet!

*stops*

*BAM!* Wallpaper!

I LOVE this. I love it all; the composition, the colours, Jack's expression, his pose, the swirly whirlies, Zero, the sparkles, the moon, the spider, it's web... arg!

I'M IN HEEEEY-VUHN!

*stares at the picture for the rest of time*

Man that is so awesome. I love NBC so much. I just bought the dvd and it had "Vincent" on it. An early stop motion by burton. It is very cool. And how about that Danny Elfman... is he not the man? Cool stuff. I like the tribute. Tim Burton forever.

I dont like how everyone posts things up just to get compliments, I think its refridgerator art juvinile..ness, or something. WE'RE ARTISTS, LETS BE ARTISTS AND LETS BE CRITICAL ABOUT ARE WORK AND OTHERS!! But anyways, why spend so much time rendering a drawing that isn't your original? I just think it borderlines a waist of time. (ok ended now)

I see nothing wrong with taking another person's creation (in this case Tim Burton) and making a piece of art with it... If we as artists never took the time to explore another artist's work and see what we can create with another person's creation, art would just be... well.. chaotic forms of crap that doesn't relate to anything else. We learn from what other people do and what playing around with different styles... it is important that we explore other peoples art....

It's obvious Tyson isn't a professional artist, if he was I'm sure he would be aware of the obvious fact that professional illustrators are often hired to do illustrations of copyrighted characters. Or did you think that Tim Burton does all of the illustrations associated with his product. Or perhaps you just weren't aware that you were just putting your foot in it.

Professional illustrators don't get paid for just rendering any idea that comes into thier heads (that's a Fine Artist, Vangaugh etc.), wish we were but we are not.

As far as we know this may be a DVD Cover for Disney Video.

It's very good Enayla, you must be one of the most prolific artists on the sight. I'm always pleased to see your posts.

Sir

Enayla...Wooohooo! Jack Skellington! Nightmarish! I too am a big fan of Tim's Work (all my friends laugh at me because I own Mars Attacks! and Edward Scissorhands among his other films on DVD - you either get his films or you don't!).A couple years ago, I drew a 9 foot tall Jack Skellington with moveable parts for posting up at Halloween and I still have him to this day! I really like what you've done with Jack and Zero. My wife was finally able to see the movie recently as I bought the Special Edition DVD. She too saw why I love the film so much. And Danny Elfman's stuff...a perfect compliment. You've done them proud!

That damn hacker phreak is screwing up the boards too. Too bad he's wrecking our wonderful art forum. I don't care if he's a pro masquerading or a 13 year old with an m and m for a brain...he's gotta go.

I love the film, I love the soundtrack and your picture captures the mood of the film very well.

It would, however, feel more like Jack Skellington if he had an evil grin on his face. Just an opinion.

Totally: *beams* I worship Tim Burton... Thank you.

Thrush: I try to evolve. It's fun to paint different stuff - I learned a lot while drawing this one. Danger is that I loved working on it so much that it's pretty likely I'll draw a second one! *grins and curtseys* Thank you!

Seph|roth: Diversity is good =) I wish everyone would draw a Tim Burton picture once in a while

SlightlyTwisted: *giggles, beams, and dances a little* That song is SO good! *giggle* Thankee.

Frost: *Catches them and smiles happily*

eric_morrell: I want the new dvd tooooo... *has the movie on video cassette and dvd - just not the special edition yet*... Danny Elfman and Tim Burton rule!

Tyson Allen: Eeeeexcuse me? Why do you think I posted this just to get compliments? If I want just compliments, I'll smack the picture up on Elfwood (otherwise known as the community for mutual admiration). Here, people often tell me what's wrong with my pictures... and I often alter the image if I agree with them. And as to waste of time (waist of time? What the hell is that?)... Hello? This drawing is very much my original. The subject matter is not - Jack and Zero are Tim Burton's wonderful characters. If artists wouldn't be allowed to use characters from other people's stories... ah... let's just say that there wouldn't be a lot of paintings and drawings on this forum. Everything is inspired by something and invented by someone. "Originality" is a very, very strange word these days as there is very little that is new under the sun. This painting is everything but a waste of time... It makes me happy every time I look at it. I feel like I've accomplished something because I caught the mood of my favourite movie and pulled it off. How is this a waste of time? (Oh, and as to spending a LOT of time? This took me about three hours, all in all. That's not a whole lot of time...)

Totally: Thank you (Well phrased!)

Matt Ryan: Thanks =) I'll try to!

sirstudlymodugal: Heh, it's not a Disney Video cover... I wish it was though ;D It's just me deciding that I worship Tim Burton so much it was time to pay tribute. People keep telling me I'm very prolific, so I guess I am - to me, it's just a matter of drawing whenever I have the time to. It a) teaches me more than anything else ever could and b) makes me relax and feel better. For each picture, I will be able to complete the next one a little bit more quickly and make less mistakes.

burn0ut: ....

Spooky: Wow! *beams and bows to him* 9 foot tall Jack! I wish I had seen that! NBC is my favourite movie of all times... I used to count, and by the time I stopped counting, I had watched the damn thing 39 times. I have no idea how many times it is now... Thank you *blushes*...

stneil777: I'd rather not see you in my threads, buddy, if you can't behave.

anticz: Zero is so cute =D

Nex: Yay! =)

GodChi: You have a very wise wife!

Mr. Stagger Lee: Maybe you're right Jack, to me, is a man of many faces though. I was listening to some of the more... sad songs from the soundtrack while drawing this. In particular, the song that is played when he has crashed into the graveyard. Each to his, or her, own I guess =)

jesus I step away from the forum a couple of days, and this is what awaits me? Great work Enayla; I have the special edition of NBC on DVD... I love it.
I espescially like the bats against the moon, and the swirly clouds in the background...They add alot of atmosphere to the piece.

Enlaya i am sorry i got made a used your tread to show my anger. Please except my humble appologies.
I also would like to know what size brushes, what program, type of bruse pressure so forth you use if you care to give the secretes of the ways of a Jedi.
Oh but the eys for some reason still look like they are black oval hovering over the white head. I think it might be the light at the top not sure. But they should look like wholes in his head right?
