that is simply beautiful, the only thing that i found, that might need a bit of work on, is the ear, maybe a bit more definition, and smooth it out a bit more, i see too much texture on it
the hair and eyes are outstanding, keep up the good work i especially like the eyebrows too, thats just awesome |

By now, I would have expected this to have so much more praise. I'm sure that if one of the forum superhero's had posted this, it would have had about two pages full of comments by now.
I think it's wonderful. There is nothing there that I could critique. It's really nice though. |

Wow! I am overwhelmed by all your kind words everyone. I guess you like this pic,eh?
Enayla: It is an honour hearing that from you, thank you. Oh and I corrected the upperlip.
minister: yep, I love using complementaries, especially warm colors.
painted melody: thanks!
glitterbug: thank the Lord for this forum, because all u guys are an inspiration to me...owww....group hug....
travis x 2: i am aiming at dissolving the boundaries between digital and traditional.
I want to be able to reach a point where u wont be able to tell whats digital and whats hand painted.
Socar: My main man Socar *cool name* You rock man, I love your stuff. Ok, about the hair, I know what you mean, but I found a pic of Gary Oldman in the Jesus movie (read more in my tutorial) and his hair looks like that too...it's a weird hairstyle.
About the noze, yea, I usually add a tint of red to it to make it look more Bill Clinton-ish...
Eric: Merci Eric! I love making hair and fur...It pays off to spend time on hair.
weirdowe:thanks!
hijinx: yep, i will work on the ear.
ex: haha thats funny coz sometimes ppl comment based only on the artist's "popularity"... .....for me what matters is that I get feedback from you guys so I can correct my mistakes. For me it's the most precious thing.
eclipse: read above! thanks.

Wow, that's just fantastic!
The expression, the hair, the eyes/eyelids, the eyebrows and the beard, wow!
The only thing I have to say is you should maybe give the ear some more detail. Well, maybe not. Just great! |

*BOL* Socar's a lady, YAZ, and a very nice one, at that.
As for your picture... well. It's rather fantastic. The hair, in particular, strikes me as being flippin' brilliant. Especially where it goes all tangley towards the end of his chin, people who've never had a chinwig often miss that. |

Going with the Easter theme here, I present you Pontius Pilate.
At the same time, there's a small tutorial on it for those of you who asked. I'm always open for comments. (Edit) I corrected the orange above the lip.http://www.yazstudios.com/tutorials.htm

Awesome work! I think the hair and the eyes are my favourite parts of this piece!
I'm looking very hard for anything to crit... and I might not like the orange-tinted highlights just above his upper lip - but that's really stretching it because I don't want to give just praise
Very beautiful picture.

Wow, very very cool! I like the warm green and red. I have to agree that his eye's are very cool and the hair is amazing! The orange above the lip is a bit wierd, but I don't really know =)

Very good image, I like his facial expression, the way he looks at the viewer in such an pejorative way.
You are REALLY an inspiration to me. |

Gorblimey BRILLIANT! It's just how I imagined him.... (I was working on a comic a couple of years ago, with Pontius Pilate in it. Darn comic never got finished...but I did end up with a pretty good mental image of Pilate.)
The yellowish tint in his eyes and that stern gaze are very well done, indeed. The only critique I can come up with is that the hair looks a bit like a toupee--maybe it's the way it rises so fluffily off his head, or the fact that you can't actually see the roots leaving the scalp anywhere in an otherwise so detailed picture....
I particularly like the nose, too. Noses are difficult to do, and you've really got it bang on. |

Cool pic. very nice skin, transparency? yeah thats the right spelling... it looks like a well rendered and well saturated pic. I like your hue changes on the skin, very realistic.
ONE THING BUGGED ME:
that sig and description... I'm sure that if you make all that info smaller then you will still be able to read it and it wont be so distracting.

That's OK. People think I'm a guy all the time. The other day, I was walking down the street, and women just kept on throwing themselves at me, under the false impression that I was a man...no, just kidding. Sorry. *G* |

Very strong.
I agree, the hair does not seem 'quite right'. However, I like the strength of the image.

Okay, so I corrected the ear. I smoothed it out and made it darker. I hope it works!
And I'm including a detail of the eye, you u can see how loose it's painted. I won't touch the hair because that's the roman hairstyle. Thanks for all the comments everyone.
Socar: A thousand apologies once again.
Collosimo: About the signatures and all that,
I've had some bad experiences with some "thieves" claiming my work as their own in the past so I don't take chances anymore.
