Very nice colors, and the background also does a great job tying in with the picture. No negative critiques here.

What size canvas was this done on? I agree with like, everyone else, colors are wonderful.

And what happened to the cello player you were going to finish and post? I never forgot... (edit) I guess that was already mentioned. Whooopps! Can't wait for it.

very cool and painterly. My one crit, the colors look a muddy to me. Also using the invert of the figure as a background eg brown warm color on robe, brown warm color inverted in sky, makes the image quite flat. You might get more foreground background realtion ship with a warm/cool color compositon...but nice painting and brushwork.

Nice work. It really does remind me of **Kwai Chang Cane** played by **David** Carradine. I like the loose style. I've got to try more of that. It seems like I go into a painting planning to let a few strokes describe a hand and the next thing I know I'm painting fingerprints. Keep posting.

wow cool!
I like your colors, they really work great,
except the fact that im used to see the brigthen color of the background behind the character head, and the darken ones at the bottom (behind is shoulder)...if you know what im talking about!
Maybe i should try to change my techniques once in a while, im so stuck with my ways sometimes...: )
again, real cool shit man

(sorry, I can't resist)

Micheal Caine in Kung Fu
"Oright..sunshine. Stop all this...crime and violence palaver..or I may be forced...to jam my inner peace fair up you're osss.
It's the kind of thing Oi can doe...and not many people know that. Dote let the flute fool ya"

*ahem*

Nice pic. So much with so little. I like the contrast with the background. Reminds me of Saffron, now I think about it.
