improved or deteriorated ever since the discovery of Photoshop?

........improved (i.e feeling of self accomplishment, fatter wallets)
........deteriorate (i.e sleepless nights, suddenly introverted)

Hopefully this poll will inject some life in here. C'mon, lets hear it!

DEFINITELY IMPROVED!

Before the discovery of photoshop i was just another sheep doing my thing in school and wasting precious time. After i discovered it my life turned around 180 degrees and now im a designer for a multimedia company

That's awesome Spitfire --

I'd say the same, my life on a whole has been refined in better ways, especially appreciation for broader mediums. Just now I have to convince my friends once in a while, I rather doodle in front of a monitor than play pool -- but gah, it's getting harder every time :)

Yep. Same here. Sometimes i meet people i went to school with, some are still in school, and they talk about their exams, and their homework, and who's dating who from my old class. And i tell them how i made the digital newsletter for the netherlands' 2nd biggest bank, how i made an official website for a top-10 band that draws 9000 hits a day, how i get the latest goodies to toy with and how they actually pay me for it as well....

i think my life improved... otherwise why am i getting a tablet? hehe before adobe, i used to bum around with Paint Shop, doing cheap graphics... well which where... CHEAP
now i've added some technique to my work, and hope that the tablet will help me transfer my creativity on paper to my puter

Both. On one hand I've found something I like to do, and it pleases me. On the other I sit on my ass for too many hours at a time and don't sleep much.

Yeah I feel the same as Nicole.
It feels good to have something to practice and work towards. But it hasn't revolutionised my life in anyway. And I don't have a huge sense of self accomplishment....yet
Oh and it sorta dents the 'social' factor of your life. You just end up spending hours at the computer or up at night. Sometimes I've gotten so into drawing or design stuff that I've neglected school work...not good. Oh and this forum doesn't help either. Hehehe.

Yea, I agree.. it's been both a blessing and a crutch for me as well.

I find myself thinking about how to design my next page each night when I should be sleeping.. and of course, it eats up all my time.

But on the other hand, it makes me lots of money, so I can't very well complain about that

Aww hehehe, it's ok. I know you're pretty busy with a lot of things right now so I figured you were getting sittuated or something

But I'm really glad you didn't fall off the face of the earth, cuz I would have missed you! lol

Take care, and I guess I will see you on aim whenever you're online.
