This was done in photoshop. Started out as a b/w sketch and went from there. Please let me know what you think.

that last curve on the road leading to the top where the guy is standing looks too sharp. And the lighting round there isn't too great.
I like the moon and the hands tho |

Ohh and one more thing... maybe a digital photo of the moon would be great in place of your moon. Theres nothing wrong with combining media, especially moon media. :P

that's a really interesting concept. The atmosphere in the peice is lovely..
I don't think the last curve is too sharp because it's a cliff.. so.. great work!

if i were to put a real moon in a picture i would be dicapitated lol.
i know you probley do not care for my oppenion, but i think the dirst needs more texture and the moon you should add what i call the bunny some say the shadows on the moon look like a bird.
but look at the shadows on a real moon. |

Beautiful concept, nicely executed. I don't think that last curve is too sharp, tho' that may be because my monitor is fuzzy
Nice work.

Hi there.
Firstly, yeah, you're right. Alot of people haven't been getting the replies and crits they deserve. It's a shame, you'd think with the number of people here now the amount of crits would go up.
Firstly, the pic is very nice, it has a calm and mysterious atmosphere to it. I'm not too keen on symmetrical composition like this, i.e. I think you could crop the image to just the top of the peak and the extent of the moon. Also, I think you're main task at the moment might be to concentrate on getting more depth into your work(aesthetically, I mean). It's hard to judge distances at the moment. Try practicing some landscape scenes, just from your garden or take a sketchbook out with you somewhere. Practice and try to learn about form and perspective.
I like your work and look forward to more of your pics.

Thank you all for the crit! Ceenda I've been looking into doing some fundamental art studies. I'm self taught so I don't have that basic foundation. I'll work on the pic and repost later tonight! I've got quite a bit more art to post so keep an eye out. Thank you all again for the help! |
