Very nice ..maybe you got a little to loose on his arm there...but overall very masterful!
HMmmm...craig best deal that I found for web hosting is with yahoo.com actually. I think they give you 50 megs and a 15 gig transfer limit for 25$/mo you will have to see what the transfer ratio is after 15 but I am sure it wont cost you 100's /mo..damn how much bandwidth do you transfer...what kind of hits do you get anyways your images are so small I would think that you would not have a lot of trouble. Seriously have you ever looked into getting your own server. I think if you invested like couple 100'd bucks you can get your own IP domain and then just run it though like ATT or something and the bandwidth would be a lot cheaper....cause you wouldnt be paying a host you would be your own host...I thought about doing that before when my site was getting couple thousand hits a day.
Another thing would be to break up your stuff..mirror it. I mean have like 1/3 of your site with one host and another third with another host but have the root directory with all the links with one host..that way you might be paying 75$/mo for hosting but your bandwidth would be broken up....and maybe the host which provides the most bandwidth..you could put your larger images there with them.

I don't know about Gerome but its interesting to see your progression recently; from pirate, to grounded boat and mask to gladiator. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

Hey Craig, I just got finished with the whole web hosting thing....it sucks...but I found some good resources...try www.findwebspace.com
it is a GREAT resource!! You can get quality web hosts, with your specifications just by filling out the short form, it gives you a crap load of matches!!!! you can get thousands of matches or just 1...alot of the companies have ratings and opinions posted by them too. It is ridiculous, but you can find a web host with
300MB of space, and 8GB a month transfer for $9.95 ...now, I dont know about the quality of specific sites...but I am sure that if you look long enough you'll find your price range, needs, and quality
CHECK IT OUT!!!! IT CANT HURT!!! ANYONE!...any trouble let me know.
art
ps, nice work as usual, right arm is confusing, figure seems to lack depth..and the Shield steals the show...guess we know what part you liked working on , great work. The colors and light are fantastic!

hmm I am a little distressed that everyone does not buy the figure. I think it is the best figure i have done... back to the drawing board.
Either my drawing or my judgement is screwed, or a little of both. But can you have one without the other? |

I like this kind of thing. We already have a Fallen and Enayla for the ultra glossy stuff anyways. But in this case I think the lack of detail is hurting the figure. I guess its torn between the illusion of "plenty of potential energy behind this stance" and something more photographic. Somewhere between the perspective construction, that far knee and the chest is kinda throwing me off. If I zoom out there doesn't seem to be anything serious wrong with it. Up close it feels like there's a few cues missing that would help it along.
Something like that. |

Hallo-
Gorgeous image! Your stuff is what's got me trying out painting and such. I'm amazed by what you do with color.
I think the arm thing is primarily from the straps on the front of the chest. If the shoulder was torqued that much, wouldn't the one strap be far more bent (possibly obscured by the shoulder?) So in the current pic it looks as though he has an extra long upper arm.
For web hosting-
http://www.laughingsquid.com/
100mb storage, 5GB monthly bandwidth
$20/month
they also have a starving artist setup. The laughing squid is setup specifically for artists.
http://www.box5.net/
250mb storage, unlimited bandwidth
$25/month prepaid, $30/month billed monthly

Craig, here's the main prob with the figure: His right knee is bending down, lower than normal if he were tensing for/from movement. This figure is more like he's about to collapse. Bring the knee up/left and change the perspective on it a touch and it's be fine. Maybe shuffle that back foot forward and make the chest overlap the waist band instead of the other way around(it tends to make his torso look short instead of him being hunched over), and it'd be perfect.
As always, you rock! Just trying to help a great become greater.

Patrick Shettlesworth at polykarbon.com got back to me, this is what he said.
"I'm with http://www.communitech.net.
I get 40gb of bandwidth and 500mb of disk space for $611 per year..about $50.00 per month.
definately the cheapest I've seen for that much bandwidth. Servers are pretty quick too. Lot's of extras thrown in with the package.
I got the Unix Developer package"
Beware of unlimited bandwidth services, they will usually start charging more after 20gb a month, or just kick you off after you reach some mystery limit. |

Now those are long legs... I don't know about you, but the bit below the shield looks like a knee to me, and if you look at where his hips are... Whoa!

spooge, how many hundreds does it cost you? there is a very reliable place that will have you for $40 a month with your current bandwith. http://www.mediatemple.net/services/hosting/shared/
I host 3 colocated servers with them, they are very reliable.

If anyone's interested, one of the webhosts I use offers "unlimited" space and 30 gig/mo bandwidth for $25/mo. The tech support has been slow to respond when I've needed them, but I'm willing to sacrifice, given the service and price. The host's main page is at:
