Sublime. :) Absolutely sublime and superb. I love the intricacy and detail of her costume. It reminds me of something I'd see in Robert Silverberg's "Lord Valentine's Castle" on Castle Mount. :) It is fantastical and intricate and subtle and beautiful all rolled into one. Are you a professional artist? If not...well I think that you should be...:) Amazing and breathtaking. :)

Nat.

Damn. I admit that I haven't studied your work too much but of the pictures I've seen of yours I like this one the best. Looks a lot like the style of the oil painted portraits you'd find in a museum. Especially through the shoulder and chest area. Well done.

enayla,
this is beautiful! I love the detail!
But,may I make one comment....There is no
light source direction. What I mean by that
is, If you want to give her more of a 3D
effect, you need to add depth. And the only
way to add depth is by shadows and highlights.
I don't see any "direction" of light.(which
in return would show shadow).Look at it and
say to yourself...Which direction is the light
hitting her face. The way it is painted now
looks as though it's coming from every and any
direction. And,although a portrait can have a a few light directions or sources, each one
would cast very "unique" and beliveable shadows and highlights. Again, I really do
think this is beautiful!

Yikes, people...

This image was just a character portrait for a friend. I didn't put that much time in it, and I doubt I'll really go back to change anything (given the fact that the girl who received the picture was very pleased with it)

I've taken note of the crits and compliments, and I'll keep them in mind for my next image. I'll be scared if this old picture is bumped up one more time...

(Edit) What I meant to say, but didn't get through, is this:
Really, you don't need to respond to this thread. It's not one of my best pictures (please, be serious, it's not), and it's not really that interesting. It's just a portrait, that happens to be of a pretty girl.
