Wow, I am really liking this one. I really like the way you captured the ambiant light from the clouds. It really feels like you in the clouds. I also really like the directional elements of the drawing, it really pulls you in. |

I'll compliment it here too.
This is replacing my old background.
Lemur god, mentioned the seperation at the hip. The line seems a little exagerated.

Great pic, nice detailing on the armour and the wings.
I have to agree with SlightlyTwisted though and say that the first thing I noticed was the armour and that I think it could be broken up with some gold. |

Soo many replies^_^ Thanks for your kind words everyone. I'm sure Opticnerve will be pleased to hear your praise as well
schabe, it's funny becase I got a book of Josh kirby art the other day, he's the guy who did the Discworld covers as well as many others. I never knew who did them but they always stood out on the book rack. I quite like that style of Illustration.
Staff Sarge, heh, my cloud skills still have a way to go^_^, I know exacly what you mean tho. I think I know what to do to make them more "fluffy" but I'll save it for next time=)
SlightlyTwisted-true about the armour. I was originaly going for something green that had a lot more colours running through it. like a marble/jade kind of look. but it got lost along the way.
Chapel-yeah, you're right. I think it works ok like it is tho. I probably should have played up the foeground BG a lot more. in a lot of ways that's missing.
Lemur God-The line (if it's the same one I'm thinking of) is probably something Rob did with a stylistic bent and I emphasised it badly. I should have probably made it less stand out.
Frost- now that you mention it I can see the simmilarities . not my drawing so I wouldn't know what the inspiration is/was tho.
Nova-interesting what you say about the style of it. I was trying to do a bit of a balencing act between comic and painted. It's the same sort of thing that Chris does in a way. although I would tend to say it's a bit looser and more painterly. (heh, what can I say, I'm sloppy^_^)
Jezebel-I already have some new pencils from Optic but It might be a while before I get around to them, this took up way too much of my school time(not that I regret it), now I need to play catch up^_^
waylon-Hey there I'd have to agree that it is lacking depth, I tried to give the clouds some dimension, but it didn't work out all that well. your comments are right on the ball.
Sorry I couldn't give everyone a personalised "thank you"^_^ I appreciate all your comments very much.

80000 high!!!!!
Erm, oh. Well. *I*, for one, would like to see the full-rez version. (It's always informative seeing where the artist skimped on detail, because it wasn't needed.) |
