I have just recently purchased www.coryanderson.com. However don't go to the site cause you'll just get a very boring coming soon page. In fact that's all it is. I was wondering if you guys/gals could comment on the design shown below.

It looks great to me, do it! Looks clean and simple. I can figure out where everything is. Hopefully you'll compress all the pictures so they don't load extremely slow on a 56k. Anyway, can't wait to see it finished.

Actually the second picture there is not finished. That's the inside of the comp and there is way more that I want to do with it.

cool... just out of curiosity is that cross suppose to have a religious significance for the site, or is it just a pict?

Well it all depends on what you are loking for. If you are ready to go with this [Seeing as You seem to like this nav] then all you're really looking for is commentary on the art....I mean this in the most nicest possible way....

Nothing really sticks out to me...none of the thumbnail images seem to relate to their prospective sections...eg...Lightwave is a picture of earth....as opposed to a 3d pic of the earth.

The overall mood provided by the images is not very exciting and seems a bit tame...considering that the main image is representation of the Crucifiction....which as well; could be better without the brown and highlights...I think the silouhette by itself would be much stronger than the current[detailed shaded] version.

There seems to be an awful lot of Red around the comp...this gives a very hot/angry feel to the site. Once again coupled with the thumbnails and the Typewrtier font...it leaves me feeling confused.

The top banner on the secondary page seems to have nothing at all to do with the first [splash] page.

I would lose the bevel around the Main [splash] oval and the gradient on the banner on the second page. As well just the grey with the black and washed red, mutes the site down loads....as well.

Sorry if I seem condesending. I'm seriously just trying to be constructive. It would be interesting to see the content. I look forward to when it's done.

No that's cool. Thanks for the comments guys. But I do really want to stress that the second pick is not even close to being done and that there will be a relation from on to the other. I do agree with you though about the hilights on the mountains. I am going to take those out. The images I chose are strictly because they are bright vibrant colors. I wasn't going to make really amazing graphics that we going to get shrunk to almost nothing
