Yaa
This was made for the halflife mod Day Of Defeat that I do some work for. It's supposed to be used when..yeah beta 1.2 is out (which isnt yet). Anyways, was fun todo. The inspiration & reference comes from the old ww2 propaganda poster with Uncle Sam pointing..
comments & crits, muy importante!

Yeah? Check this one.
Done for my Marathon resource site.
Headmaster Uncle Pfor Enforcer wants YOU!
Okay, I overpainted Flagg's... it's more of a composite/trickery than a painting. I don't claim otherwise.

you don't want me, im telling ya. Looks cool, compistion feels a little bottom heavy, if you lighten up the bottom it might have more of that graphic design effect those posters have. |

his middle finger looks a little strange to me but it could just be the lighting. Also I don't really understand the whole texture thing because if it's a poster why all of the texture? Well whatever.... oh yeah the thing that I remember most about wwII propaganda posters is they have a lot of primary colors because their point is to get your attention. Since this is just based on them it none of my comments really matter. I like it though.

Frost: Thanks mate!
Elijah: Thanks, good point there, will change.
eric_morrel: Also, good point. I know how those propaganda posters look like, buthm..Heh maybe I shouldnt have called it a ww2 propaganda poster. It's more or less a advertisement piece, with propaganda posters in mind. I wanted it to look more modern & "flashy". The texture was just added, for having some sort of "war-torn" effect. Thanks for the crits.

looks good, but the pointing hand looks too small. Overdoing the perspective is a good thing, IMHO, making it a wee bit too large. You want to know hes really POINTING, right? |

hey ho
daz: Weell, that was not always the case. I've looked through alot of propaganda posters, and many of them were very detailed & had lots of shades & colors (ie painted with oils). If you have ever seen the poster with hitler standing holding a flag with troops behind him, you know what I mean. Even the uncle sam poster was very detailed.
Farwalker: Thanks! Go download dod hehe.
jzero: uhm.. ok.
