I've been adjusting my marker renderings in PS, and I kind of like how they're turning out.

Oh yes please.
Your marking skills are improving Skeezer son.
Apart from slight differences a-cymetrical wise and a few other tiny things, these are hip AND groovy.

cool stuff Skeezer, you have a knack for that "futuristic battle armor/suit" look...

maybe adding a tiny bit more color to them?
